I don't know whether it's worth adding to the article but there was a claim (I presume I saw it on some of the guides linked at the UK or US forums) that Deathsurge counted as 20 or 25 gremlins for the Electrician Badge. He doesn't - the badge doesn't move at all when you kill him. --Alex Hopkinson 07:50, 14 September 2006 (PDT)

:No (as far as I know), its three active at a time, however, it is possible to kill one and have another spawn almost immediately, by either having him be the hundredth gremlin, or having a gremlin killed while you are fighting another copy. This has happened to me two out of the three times that I've fought multiple Deathsurges, so I deem it fairly likely to happen. Stab594 23:23, 12 October 2007 (EDT)

Right, I submitted this page to GM Brandon as well as other information claiming that Deathsurge spawns in 100 gremlin kills in zone, and he still maintained that it spawned at random intervals. It is possible that the game is just bugged at the moment, but I haven't been able to get him to spawn by the guidelines on this page and a GM is telling me the mechanics have changed, so I leave the judgment in your hands. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ninja Earl (talk • contribs) 13:12, February 24, 2012

This was claimed quite widely before he was given the Surging badge. If it was ever true, it was changed/removed at or before the time the Surging badge was attached to him. I would say that at this point it doesn't really serve any purpose to mention it in the article itself, though we have now memorialized the rumor here on the talk page by discussing it here. :) - Sister Leortha 07:59, 14 September 2006 (PDT)

Deathsurge Spawn Mechanics Changed

[Tell] GM_Brandon: He will spawn at random intervals.
[Tell] GM_Brandon: like Babbage, the Kraken, Ghost of the Scrapyard.

The Wiki page needs to be updated to be accurate to this information. I have field tested this data personally over 5 times (killed and counted 500 gremlins). I will update the Wiki with this information unless someone else has a more credible source that says otherwise. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ninja Earl (talkcontribs) 13:03, February 24, 2012
