Well, Dual Pistols is live now. Guess it's time to take that header off the top of the page, eh? Also, it's been confirmed that Demon Summoning will be made available to those who prepurchased Going Rogue with the release of Issue 17, so we do indeed have reason to mention I17 in that article now. --GuyPerfect 21:56, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

In addition to having its one and only source 404'd, I think there's a little conjecture thrown in here as well. From what I understand of information officially released to the public, it's only been verified that Blasters will be receiving the powerset. It's all but guaranteed that Defenders and Corruptors will get it as well, but we don't technically know that, at least according to my memory. Also, is there any verification that the set will in fact be called "Dual Pistols" and that this isn't just the name the devs have been using for it in public? The same can be said for Demon Summoning, to be honest. Why not just "Demons" to fit the same naming convention of all the other Mastermind primaries? --GuyPerfect 05:53, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

That is official information from hero con. There are plenty of videos from the event on youtube. So 1) We *DO* "technically" know it, and 2) It has been verified.-- Captainmoodswing 06:32, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

It was confirmed at HeroCon to be a primary set for Blasters and Corruptors and a secondary set for Defenders. It was called "Dual Pistols" at HeroCon, and Demon Summoning called "Demon Summoning", though names are always fuzzy during beta (and even after - I'm looking at you Gadgets/Devices.) All of this information can be found in the HeroCon info thread, which at 815 posts (as of now) is daunting, but the first post contains all the information in a neat wrap-up.
Haven't been paying attention to new stuff, have ya Guy? ;) ~ User:Aggelakis/Sig1 06:39, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

Open beta?

Isn't Dual Pistols in open beta now? Information can be put in. :D Sera404 23:35, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

Correct. Have at it. --GuyPerfect 00:06, 20 February 2010 (UTC)

Going Rogue / Issue 17

Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning both require the purchase of Going Rogue. They are available prior to Going Rogue's release if you pre-purchase Going Rogue's regular edition. If you don't pre-purchase the regular edition, you can also get them at release date through the Complete Edition. They are not freely available in Issue 17, regardless. ~ User:Aggelakis/Sig1 00:24, 20 February 2010 (UTC)

They are being included with Issue 17 regardless of whether or not you have to purchase Going Rogue to use them. This does not make them Going Rogue features. --GuyPerfect 22:35, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
Correct. There will be players in the game who will be using the Dual Pistols as soon as I17 goes live. Some will have access, some will not. In that way the set is no different than, for example, Ninja Run - at least until Going Rogue goes live. I haven't heard anything yet on whether players who do not purchase GR will have access to the new sets when creating new heroes or villains. --Eabrace Healthbar notify phone.png 22:55, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
They are gated by pre-purchasing Going Rogue, therefore the flag should be Going Rogue, not I17, since they are not a freely available powerset. Players who do not pre-purchase Going Rogue do not get DP or DS early, and players who do not purchase Going Rogue do not get DP or DS when Going Rogue releases officially. ~ User:Aggelakis/Sig1 01:56, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
I'm looking at it more from the side of "should we start adding the info?" And from that perspective, since it's in open beta and set to go live with I17, the answer is "yes". As far as whether it sould be flagged as "Going Rogue" content or "Issue 17" content? I'm neutral. I do think it's a little misleading to state that it's specifically GR content and leave people scratching their heads wondering why they got ganked in I17 PvP by something that's supposed to be GR content, but I also see the argument for flagging it specifically as GR. --Eabrace Healthbar notify phone.png 02:38, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
Um... The GR template tag says "This information is about features that will be implemented in Going Rogue...". The GR tag is factually incorrect. The powerset is being implemented in I17. When, how, and to whom it's available to are irrelevant insofar as the GR and I17 tags are concerned, as they address implementation only. The article should be tagged I17, though an additional note indicating GR-related availability is prudent. -- Sekoia 05:48, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
Make a note in the overview that pre-purchase of Going Rogue allows access to DP/DS prior to release. Voila, problem solved very easily. ~ User:Aggelakis/Sig1 02:52, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
PS, I really don't care when info gets added, as long as it's not closed beta-only info. :p ~ User:Aggelakis/Sig1 02:53, 21 February 2010 (UTC)

The tag at the top of the page says that the info "is subject to change before release." This is not true, as the set will be finalized in Issue 17. I motion for an executive decision on this. --GuyPerfect 04:41, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

So, how about this:
 • replace the GR template with an I7 template
 • add an EdNote stating that the Dual Pistol power set is available only with the purchase of Going Rogue
--Eabrace Healthbar notify phone.png 14:07, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
For what it's worth, I think it should remain under the Going Rogue banner. Dual Pistols are not included in the features for Issue 17. In fact, the announcement for Issue 17 specifically notes that Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning are Going Rogue features that will be available early for players who pre-order. The Issue 17 features listed are Ultra Mode, new badges, new missions, new player emotes, Epic Archetypes available at level 20, improvements and additions to Mission Architect, enhancements to UI and game systems, "and more". In fact, it looks like Dual Pistols will be available before Issue 17 comes out, since none of the Issue 17 features have made it to Beta Testing yet. --K26dp 14:22, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
I posted this earlier but I think it's getting overlooked since it's mixed in above: The GR banner is factually incorrect and cannot be used unless we want to mislead users. It states "This information is about features that will be implemented in Going Rogue..." which is blatantly false since its implementation is due to occur well before GR's relesae. Unless we intend to rephrase what is said in the GR tag, then all of this discussion about availability of the powerset is irrelevant to the use of the tag. The tag has very specific wording. I think Eabrace's suggestion is the most sensible way to handle it. Alternately, if it's not actually slated for implementation concurrent with Issue 17, then it should get tagged with Patch Watchlist instead. -- Sekoia 15:07, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

Dual Pistols has nothing to do with Issue 17. Nothing. It's available only to those who purchase GR. Pre-purchasers of GR get DP early. Since the set is still in Beta, the GR-it-might-change-tag is appropriate. When it's released early, then the Overview should mention that fact and maybe a new GR-Pre-Released Tag be invented. That's my take. Zombie Man 15:45, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

What Zombie said. ~ User:Aggelakis/Sig1 16:29, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

As per Sekoia's suggestion, I've used the Patch Watchlist template in the article. Do not replace it with Issue17 or GoingRogue. --GuyPerfect 21:24, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

Did I mention that Dual Pistols has nothing to do with Issue 17? NOTHING. It is definitely arriving before I17 because it will be available for 2xXP weekend. I changed the patch note to remove reference to Issue 17. Do not bring back a mention of Issue 17. Guy, are you confusing this all with Ultra Mode which was going to be in GR but is now in I17? BTW, the same applies to Demon Summoning -- I don't know if they're going to test it with Issue 17 or before it or after it, but early access to Demon Summoning has nothing to do with I17, except maybe for issues of availability of the Test Server. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zombie Man (talkcontribs) 22:22, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

Swap Ammo

There's probably a better way to present the toggle icons, but I just threw them in to get them in there in some manner for now. --Eabrace Healthbar notify phone.png 04:20, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Threw together a quickie explanation. It could definitely look prettier. :D ~ User:Aggelakis/Sig1 04:42, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
I tried to pretty it up a bit more by using the PowerBox template. Would there be any objections to moving the toggle icons/descriptions to before the PowerBlock? To me, they look somewhat separate/detached with them being after instead of before. -- Sekoia 05:07, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
I was trying to find that template to use, but gave up looking halfway through and just submitted the info. LOL I have no qualms with putting the details before PowerBlock. Glancing at other powers that have other powers (like pets), those details are also put before PowerBlock. ~ User:Aggelakis/Sig1 05:15, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
Alternately, I was just thinking about the format used on the Kheldian pages. For instance, Black Dwarf. --Eabrace Healthbar notify phone.png 06:43, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
Would be good if the individual toggles took enhancements and did more stuff. I don't think there needs to be a 'child' PowerBlock for toggles that are so simple. Black Dwarf's powers are complex enough to warrant the 'child' PowerBlock. ~ User:Aggelakis/Sig1 07:00, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
