o.o kk, I think I might have missed something but.. is there a reason to use "{{ISalvage|Spirit Thorn|1|Invention Jump Recipe|45-50}}" instead of "{{ISalvage|Spirit Thorn|1}}"? they look the same, but the second is a lot shorter in code, and doesn't have all the pointless info attached to it. o.o why would the "Invention Jump Recipe|45-50" part even need to be in there? its being placed on the jump invent page to begin with.. anyway as you can see from the main article, the two look identical, so unless there's a reason for the former instead of the later, I'll be putting the latter in over the next bit of time. --Sleepy Kitty 07:21, 11 May 2007 (EDT)

I was trying to figure out how to get the information across to DPL... but it didn't work as well as I would have liked. So it shouldn't be added for the most part, I just haven't deleted it from here yet because I haven't finished poking around at it to try to get it to cooperate. But yeah, it's looking like it's something that'll get pulled back out later, guess I should have explained better what I was trying to get at with it. I've got a thread going for this at the forums here. And it looks like I got it working now, too! The two extra parameters won't get used by the ISalvage template here, but they would get used by the ISalvage.dpl template on the salvage pages to generate the list of what uses them. -- Sekoia 16:02, 11 May 2007 (EDT)

If things work as planned, then Invention Recipes would have the salvage entered like {{ISalvage|Spirit Thorn|1|Invention Jump Recipe|45-50}} so that the Invention Salvage pages (for example, Spirit Thorn) will automatically update to show which Reccipes are using them. The additional information wouldn't be shown on the recipe page, but has to be included because otherwise the Salvage pages won't know which recipe is being referenced (in a set, for example) or which level range it applies to. However, I haven't finished testing it yet! So it might change, or it may not even work at all. If you're adding Salvage information to Recipe pages, just keep using the normal format {{ISalvage|Spirit Thorn|1}} for now. Once I have some idea how this is all going to work (if it works), I'll let you know. ^^ -- Sekoia 18:54, 11 May 2007 (EDT)
