Craig graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1993, majoring in Interdisciplinary Science. He began his career as a software programmer working in application software. After two years, he joined Michael Lewis at Stellar Semiconductor, a 3D graphics software and hardware company, where he developed 3D graphics drivers and helped optimize games for Stellar's hardware. After Broadcom acquired Stellar, Craig continued to work on graphics drivers, porting drivers and games to Broadcom's cable set-top boxes. Craig found his true calling at Cryptic, beginning in design and interfacing with art and software. As producer for both City of Heroes and City of Villains, Craig successfully integrated the three game development disciplines, and guided both titles to ship on time and on budget. His technical background now serves to help him oversee all development aspects of Cryptic's future projects.

In late November, 2015, Craig co-founded Cold Iron Studios, developing action games for consoles and PC.
