Once the Lord Winter battle is completed, players are encouraged to stick around and defeat Winter Horde for the duration of the event. The enemies in the map have a chance to drop [[Candy Cane Salvage]] on defeat.
When the Winter Lord's hit points are reduced to 75%, 50%, and 25%, he will summon the [[Winter Guardian]], a smaller version of himself. It will run toward the players from somewhere on the map. While the Winter Guardian is at large, the Winter Lord is intangible and unable to be damaged. Players must defeat the Winter Guardian each time he spawns before returning to battle the Winter Lord again. When the Winter Lord reaches 0 hit points, the trial is over; all enemies despawn and players are awarded 20 candy canes and 6 reward merits, and have a chance of receiving a "nice" winter temp power drop.
