'''Ghosting'''
'''Ghosting''' may refer to multiple things, depending on context:

# Refers to when a player enters an instance and then drops from the team, allowing them to affect enemies without changing the [[XP]] from other team members. They usually act like a guardian for the team members, protecting them in various ways as they progress through the instance. (Ex. # The means by which a player bypasses most of the enemies in a mission by using stealth, armor toggles, traveling too fast to pick up extended [[aggro]], or other means. This is more often called '''stealthing''' a mission.

Ghosting may refer to multiple things, depending on context:

  1. The means by which a player bypasses most of the enemies in a mission by using stealth, armor toggles, traveling too fast to pick up extended aggro, or other means. This is more often called stealthing a mission.
  2. When a player enters an instance and then drops from the team, allowing them to affect enemies without affecting experience gain from team members. They usually act like a guardian for the team members, protecting them in various ways as they progress through the instance. Actions may include taunting enemies to keep aggro, healing and buffing other characters, debuffing enemies, or anything that does not damage enemies.
  3. When a server gets out of sync with a player, and the player can see everything as it is happening normally, but they are not actually able to affect what appears to be around them. While the player may see their hero or villain running around, others will see them simply standing still wherever they lost sync with the server, a ghost.
    • The /sync command fixes "out of sync" bugs.
