While updating can be done manually, it can also be done in a semi-automated fashion by using a series of bindfiles that check a batch of badges (typically 10) at a time. Bindfiles for this purpose are available for download from badge tracking websites (refer to the [[#External Links|external links]] below).

Slash Command

/settitle integer
Aliases: '/set_title_id'

Changes a character's Badge Title using the badge's unique settitle ID integer. If the character does not have the badge associated with the settitle ID integer, then the visible badge title will remain even though the system channel will state: "Your badge title has been cleared".

This includes any badge the character has earned, including Gladiator badges. Some badge numbers are associated with the period "." as well as respec and veteran rewards. These behave strangely when /settitle is attempted on them, however the badge title will never change to something the badge title system does not allow.

A complete listing of each badge's settitle ID integer can be found at the settitle listing page.

  • Give the command some time to let the title take effect. Zoning into a different map may also help it along.

Badge updating/verification

One popular use of /settitle is for updating or verifying badges maintained on badge-tracking websites. When /settitle is used, it displays text in the System chat channel that badge-tracking tracking websites can use to identify the badge. Two such websites that serve the Homecoming community are the City of Badgers and Badger badge-tracking websites.

Updating each character's badges on those websites can be done manually or in a semi-automated fashion using bind files that check multiple badges at once. Each website provides downloadable bind files for this purpose, along with instructions that detail how to use the bind files in-game and how to upload the files for processing.
