:o.o nopes, it was sorta being made for an early mission (the skulls one), similar to the hellions fire one. As part of internal testing, it was tied to a door in Steel (near the PP entrence) so that they could look around and such, but without any spawns. ^^;; this was then accedentally left on when it hit test and wasn't discovered till the issue went live. (I think it's issue 3, but not sure). By then ppl though it was intentional and where holding mini parties there since it was new and compleatly safe from attack. Later on, they added the furniture, cages, bar... that sorta thing and came up with that original poster for the zone.
:m.m Late to the party here, but this doesn't jibe at all with the story as I know it. Geko and Ravenstorm cooked it up together and snuck it in under Statesman's nose. It wasn't an accident. It was deliberately setup to be a something for the players to find by getting curious about the flyers on the building walls. The only additions they made later was the bartender and, once, moving the doors around. There were a couple of different interviews with developers that gave this story.

:>.> happilly, its one of the loading screens that the legion of catgirls has on site, so I'll have it over here soon, though its probably in the piggs still since they never get around to moving most of the stuff.
:@.@ I'll talk to the other high ups on guardian and see if we can get all 5 door locatoions for this article, they shifted the doors in 2 of the zones and the bums are only outside of the pre i6 locations.. that and the exact day they shifted it out since it was after i6 went live (it was in Jan right?) -.- dev digest probably doesn't have this info anymore, so I might have to poke a few aquaintences at cry/ncs for info --[[User:Sleepykitty|Sleepy Kitty]] 10:46, 23 May 2006 (PDT)
:: The first (that I knew of) Steel Canyon door was on the south east corner of the first sky scraper that's north west of the yellow line.  Even after the entrance was moved to its position near Icon, it retained it's posters up until just after Pocket D went live (even though I /bugged it every couple of months).  --[[User:StarGeek|StarGeek]] 12:53, 23 May 2006 (PDT)

o.o nopes, it was sorta being made for an early mission (the skulls one), similar to the hellions fire one.

@.@ I'll talk to the other high ups on guardian and see if we can get all 5 door locatoions for this article, they shifted the doors in 2 of the zones and the bums are only outside of the pre i6 locations.. that and the exact day they shifted it out since it was after i6 went live (it was in Jan right?) -.- dev digest probably doesn't have this info anymore, so I might have to poke a few aquaintences at cry/ncs for info --Sleepy Kitty 10:46, 23 May 2006 (PDT)
The first (that I knew of) Steel Canyon door was on the south east corner of the first sky scraper that's north west of the yellow line. Even after the entrance was moved to its position near Icon, it retained it's posters up until just after Pocket D went live (even though I /bugged it every couple of months). --StarGeek 12:53, 23 May 2006 (PDT)
