Definition

  1. A beneficial effect. For example, Speed Boost is an ally buff and Hasten is a self buff.
  2. The action of placing a beneficial effect on one or more characters. An example of buffing would be the act of casting Speed Boost on an ally.

The opposite of buff is debuff.
