Death

Red Widow was an assassin, and carried out the murder of the original founder of Arachnos, a man known as The Weaver.

According to Ghost Widow, Red Widow "perished in an avalanche while Lord Recluse battled Statesman".

Red Widow's soul was briefly trapped in an Circle of Thorns soul crystal to be used in an experiment by Ghost Widow to see if she could return to corporeal form. Arbiter Daos ordered Red Widow's soul to be freed, claiming that Recluse hadn't forgotten Red Widow's role in his rise to power.

Resurrection

+++ Missing Information +++

In 1938 the previous ruler of Arachnos, The Weaver, plotted the death of Stefan Richter, the man who would later become known as Lord Recluse. This plot involved a young blind girl, Marlene Fortunata, who was to be used to lure the American mercenary into a trap. Marlene used her blindness to pretend not to be scared of Recluse's horrid appearance. It took months for the plan to work, but eventually Marlene was ready to strike. But fate is a fickle thing, and during this time the would-be assassin had actually fallen in love with Recluse. She revealed The Weaver's treachery, and the two hatched a bloody scheme. That night, Lia went to The Weaver's bed and gave him Recluse's bloody helm. He was dead, she claimed, as she ran her fingers through The Weaver's hair. Lia took the head of Arachnos to bed, and there used Recluse's own poison to murder her former master. From then on, she had become the 'Vedova Rossa' the Red Widow.
