Description
You have made yourself legend by defeating the Praetorians, an evil version of the Freedom Phalanx from an alternate dimension.
How to Get
Defeat the following Praetorian Earth archvillains: Anti-Matter, Battle Maiden, Black Swan, Bobcat, Chimera, Diabolique, Dominatrix, Infernal, Malaise, Marauder, Mother Mayhem, Neuron, Nightstar, and Siege.
Anti-Matter is available in the Anti-Matter Collision arc from Tina Macintyre (a level 40-44 contact), or available via Ouroboros. All the others except Siege are available in the A Hero's Epic arc from Maria Jenkins, a level 45-50 contact. Siege is available in the Take down the WarWorks mission from Jenkins (which is not available via Ouroboros, but can be got directly from her since she cannot be outlevelled). Alternatively, the older version of Jenkins' arc, A Hero's Hero, is available via Ouroboros and does include Siege.
If you have an incomplete set of defeats, Null the Gull in Pocket D can let you know which ones you are missing. Some are available in individual missions from Macintyre and Jenkins, but not Bobcat, Infernal, or Anti-Matter. Maria Jenkins has badge missions to defeat Nightstar and Marauder, so they can easily be got from Ouroboros. Otherwise one can run the full Jenkins/Macintyre arcs, or try to join a team about to fight the archvillain you are missing. Mother Mayhem and Malaise can be found in the Faathim the Kind Task Force, but this is unlikely to be the easiest way to fight them.
Incarnate characters can also defeat all save Dominatrix and Infernal by running appropriate incarnate content, as detailed below.
Note that as of Issue 18 that Mother Mayhem is needed, but Shadowhunter and Tyrant are still not needed. Prior to Issue 18, Mother Mayhem was also not needed. Before Going Rogue, Macintyre and Jenkins had earlier versions of their arcs, now playable via Ouroboros and described at Tina Macintyre/Flashback and Maria Jenkins/Flashback, but these don't offer a different selection of archvillains for this badge. (Jenkins' old arc does have you face Tyrant, but he is not required).

FAQs
This badge causes problems for a lot of players. Here is a list of frequently asked questions that may be helpful.
- Do Elite Bosses count towards the badge?
- According to Positron, yes they do. [1] [2] (confirmed)
- Are there any level restrictions?
- No, in theory a character of any level may earn this badge. However, the arcs that provide the badges are only available in certain level ranges: Tina Macintyre is level 40-45 and Maria Jenkins is 45-50. (Tina also offers two missions that provide the Multidimensional Badge, which is also needed for Portal Jockey.) The character working on the badge does not need to have the story arc; they just need to kill the AVs. Sidekicking with a higher level character who has the arc available should work.
- Why can't I get the "A Hero's Epic" Arc from Maria Jenkins?
- You probably have other contacts with open arcs (as denoted by the storybook icon next to the contact name). Finish your other arcs then call Maria. Alternatively, you can do either Hero's Hero or Hero's Epic as Flashbacks in Ouroboros.
- I think I've already defeated all the Arch Villains in Maria's arc, but I haven't earned the badge. What's going on?
- There's several things that people stumble on here.
- Maria's old arc included Tyrant, but he isn't actually needed for the badge, so do not worry if you have not defeated him yet.
- Anti-Matter is required for the badge but is NOT available in Maria's arc. You will need to run either the Keyes Island Reactor Trial or Tina Macintyre's arc to defeat him. Tina gives several missions with Anti-Matter; be aware that the one where he teleports away does not count because he self-defeats.
- There are some (unconfirmed) reports that Marauder and Bobcat won't count if they are defeated while their "godmode" powers are running.
- Make sure you've defeated Black Swan. In one of the missions where she is present, her defeat is not required to complete the mission.
- Null the Gull in Pocket D can tell you which AVs you still need to defeat.
- Which Archvillains do I need to defeat?
- See the list above.
- Do I need to defeat the Arch Villains in order?
- No, you may defeat them in any order that is convenient.
- Are Mother Mayhem and Shadowhunter required?
- Shadowhunter is not required (although some sources may state otherwise), but as of Issue 18, Mother Mayhem is required.
- Do Architect Entertainment (AE) versions count?
- No. The only badges you can collect with Architect Entertainment missions relate to the Architect Entertainment system itself.
