Overview
A Vanity Pet is any permanent pet that does not participate in combat, neither by attacking nor providing buffs to the player character. All vanity pet summons are toggles, and only one vanity pet toggle may be active at a time. If a second vanity pet is summoned, the first vanity pet will despawn.
Non-combat pets obtained on a temporary basis, like escort hostages in missions, are not considered vanity pets.
Sources
Characters can obtain vanity pets from the P2W Vendor, except for the Spider Pet which is obtained via the Halloween Event, and three very expensive vanity pets (Mini Statesman, Mini Tyrant, and Mini Lord Recluse) from Luna.
