Anthropologist
Piper Irving recently graduated from Paragon University with a PhD in Anthropology. Unlike many of her classmates, she decided to stay in the city to continue her research. Her particular area of focus is the city's religion-based criminal organizations. After a few near-death experiences, she has learned that it's much better to work with heroes than on her own. She is often consulted because of her expertise on the belief systems and practices of groups like the Banished Pantheon and the Circle of Thorns. She's very enthusiastic about her work and is always looking for new help with her research.

Find Suzanne Trent
Briefing
In the wake of the Rikti War, there's been a resurgence of all kinds of mysticism. This has helped in some cases, even providing the city with new hope. But it has also caused a great deal of trouble. One new cult calls itself the Banished Pantheon. They have some sort of dark power; they can animate the dead and call spirits from beyond the grave! A reporter named Suzanne Trent was investigating them, but now she's gone missing. Please find Suzanne Trent as soon as possible.
Mission Acceptance
The creatures we have seen the most frequently have been dubbed Husks; they seem to be made from the animated bodies of the dead.
Mission Objective(s)
- Find Suzanne Trent
Clue: Suzanne Trent's Story
When you rescued Suzanne Trent, she said:
'I've seen a lot of horrible things since I started this investigation. This Banished Pantheon cult, they're inhuman! They worship some kind of lost god-like beings, horrible prehistoric entities that feed on pain. Their chief god is Lughebu, who demands that they learn about all beings of power. Here, take this idol I discovered. I have a feeling there's some sort of dark magic about it.
Temporary Power: Idol of Lughebu
When you rescued Suzanne Trent, she gave you this idol she found in the Pantheon's lair. While carrying it, you have the ability to drain the life from nearby foes, increasing your own Hit Points. The idol must be returned to the MAGI vault within 3 real days.
Debriefing
According to Suzanne Trent, the Banished Pantheon is investigating all beings of power. I must say, that phrase has an ominous ring to it. Depending on the definition, it could include heroes like yourself.
Go to Striga Isle
Briefing
Have you ever been over the Striga Isle? There's a woman there named Stephanie Peebles who needs our help. She's got all she can do trying to hold Port Noble together against the onslaught of the Council. Will you take this package over to Stephanie? I'd appreciate it if you didn't look inside.
Mission Acceptance
The council managed to entrench itself on Striga Isle but good. If you can give Stephanie any assistance against them, I'm sure she'll be grateful. Of course, I hope you won't forget about your old friends here in Paragon City. We'll always be grateful for your help too.
Mission Objective(s)
- Go see Stephanie Peebels
- Striga Isle
Debriefing
Greetings. I hope you are ready for that which lies ahead.
Curtail Circle rituals in Talos Island
Briefing
The Circle's activities in Talos Island have grown more brazen and outrageous lately, and everyone is starting to fear for their lives. I'd like you to curtail some of their rituals in Talos Island. Circe Island and Eleusis are particularly overrun, but I'm sure you can find places all over the zone to take a stand against them.
Stop the Warriors from stealing the museum's artifacts
Briefing
Looks like the Warriors are at it again. They've broken into the warehouse where the museum was storing next month's feature exhibit. Whatever they're looking for, we need to keep it out of their hands. Please go stop the Warrior from stealing the museum's artifacts.
I am not sure how long they will be there, so move as quickly as you can.
Mission Objective(s)
- Stop gang leader and his crew
- Rescue the artifact
Clue: Piece of the Wheel of Destruction
This oddly shaped chunk of stone looks like it might be a part of a wheel or a disk. There are strange runes covering its surface.
Debriefing
The Warriors said this was a piece of the Wheel of Destruction? Interesting. I wonder how many other pieces there are.
Take the artifact piece to Azuria
Briefing
One of my heroes found this broken piece of stone while he was stopping a Banished Pantheon plot. It looks familiar, and I need to find out more about it. Can you take the artifact piece to Azuria? I'd really like to have her opinion.
Recover idols from the Banished Pantheon
Briefing
There was a break-in at the Paragon City Museum. The thieves stole two items on loan to the museum from Mexico, stone idols to the Aztec gods Coatilcue and Tlaloc. One of the guards identified the thieves as members of the Banished Pantheon cult. Will you recover the idols from the Banished Pantheon? They probably have the idols under magical guard; you'll need a teammate to help break their spells of protection.
I don't know the reason for the Banished Pantheon's interest in the old Aztec gods, but it can't bode well.
Mission Objective(s)
- Defeat lead cultist and his coven
- 2 idols to recover simultaneously
Clue: Aztec idol of Coatilcue
This idol is dedicated to the Aztec goddess Coatilcue, the Earth Mother.
Clue: Aztec idol of Tlaloc
This idol is dedicated to Tlaloc, the Aztec God of Rain.
