Brother of Richard Garriott, president of NCsoft - North America till 2008 (he held the position for six years/since 2002) when he stepped down to work for NCsoft Global. His replacement in leading the company is Chris Chung.
graduated from MIT in 1983 with a Master of Science in Management Also has a degree in Electrical Engineering (Rice University), and a Masters degree in Engineering Economic Systems (Stanford University)
