Overview

Visitor's Guide is a tip contact that offers Tour Guide Missions in Atlas Park.

Introduction

Atlas Tour Guide

Exploration Mission

Tourism in Atlas Park has recently boomed to unexpected levels, with people from all over the world coming to experience the "Heart of Paragon City" for themselves. As a result, these little visitor's guides have become quite the common sight in the area: colorful and attention-grabbing, loaded up with all the latest information and cultural going-on.

With one of these on-hand, you are ready to see and do everything Atlas Park has to offer!

  • Look for any new local points of interest in Atlas Park.
  • Explore the area later.

Too Busy

With how busy you are with all these tasks, maybe now is not the best time to go sightseeing.

No More Missions

You review all the information within the visitor's guide but fail to find anything you did not already know about Atlas Park. Perhaps you could take on a side-gig as a tour guide...

Accolade

Badge

You've obtained this Accolade by earning every Exploration badge within Atlas Park.

Missions

Undefeated

Briefing

Having no pressing matters, you spend a moment distracting yourself with a reclaimed visitor's guide. You come across an editorial detailing different heroes who fell in the line of duty protecting the city during the First Rikti War.

You recognize several names, including one you would not have expected to find listed. This piques your curiosity and you decide to go check out the spot where they made their last stand.

  • Honor the fallen, yet Undefeated.

You try to picture Atlas Park, but with its sky completely darkened by the presence of innumerable alien invaders bent on your annihilation. Imagining a fight exhausting every ounce of your strength until the sheer number of enemies overwhelms you.

It is an understandably unsettling thought.

Mission Objective

  • Stand with the fallen
Badge
Undefeated (545.0, 58.4, -2307.0)[Copy]

Here is where one of the brave souls to take up the mantle of Scirocco stood against, and fell to, the Rikti invaders.

Silent Sentinel

Briefing Finding yourself with a few minutes to spare, you peruse the contents of a visitor's guide found earlier. There is a brief local history article about a famous rooftop frequently used by stoic-types to survey the area. You are usually too busy to indulge in the little iconic fantasies that make your career choice so rewarding...but not this time.

Time to fancy yourself a sentinel for a moment and remind yourself why you love what you do.

  • Experience being a Silent Sentinel

You make a note of where this perch is and head off to experience it for yourself.

Briefly, you debate if you should wait until nightfall and perhaps wear a darker colored outfit; it could be fun to get into that vigilant-stoic mindset!

Mission Objective

  • Stand watch over Atlas Park
Badge
Silent Sentinel (-608.0, 70.0, -1890.0)[Copy]

In the 1950's the hero called 'Gargoyle' would stand watch over the city from this spot.

Hero Corps Insider

Briefing

An advertisement for Hero Corps services catches your eye within a visitor's guide that was dropped. You inspect the ad a little closer:

"Define your work environment! Update your Powered Personnel Power Profile today! Hero Corps: Providing services that pack a super-powered punch! Meet with an analyst today!"

Looks like they are accepting walk-up consultations; in your line of work, it could be helpful to familiarize yourself with their operations.

  • Become a Hero Corps Insider

They say money makes the world go round, doesn't grow on trees, and is the root of all evil? With a grin, you wonder if Hero Corps could expand its services into super-powered gardening...

You put off thoughts of tantalizing business ventures and head towards the spot mentioned in the ad.

Mission Objective

  • Scope out members of Hero Corps
Badge

Hero Corps may be controversial in their methods but they can have good information for aspiring heroes.

Patriot

Briefing

You notice a voucher fall out of a tourist's guide you had been holding on to. It twists through the air and lands on the ground in front of your feet. You stoop down and pick it up, eliminating a potential piece of litter. Inspecting the paper, you notice it is good for one free historical tour inside City Hall.

You check your schedule. "Yeah, I've got time."

  • Visit City Hall and learn something new.

Keeping a keen mind and expanding your knowledge can be surprisingly helpful in your line of work. It is important to always make time to expand your horizons.

This world's scope can be staggering, so any new information could always prove helpful!

Mission Objective

  • Visit the lobby within City Hall
Badge
Patriot / International Spy (164.0, -768.0, -673.0)[Copy]

You have seen the statue of Cassiopeia, a Heroine recognized as a citizen of every country on Earth after she single-handedly saved the world from a rogue comet.

Top Dog

Briefing

While casually flipping through the visitor's guide you found earlier, you see an excerpt about Atlas Park's iconic behemoth:

"Many new heroes consider reaching the top of the Atlas statue a rite of passage on their journey..."

You stop for a moment as you realize that you have never actually been to the top of the Atlas statue. Now is the time to address that glaring oversight!

  • Scale the statue of Atlas to become Top Dog.

You fold the guide and let your gaze slowly scale the monolithic Atlas' frame. For a brief moment, you consider if the massive globe might have looked better as a wire frame... Hmm, maybe not.

It is a long way to the top, but you have just the plan in mind on how to reach it.

Mission Objective

  • Reach the top of the Atlas statue
Badge
Top Dog (131.0, 319.7, -319.5)[Copy]

The top of Atlas' statue is the first place many flying heroes will go.

Freedom

Briefing

Between tasks you stop and look over the visitor's guide you pocketed earlier. A tidbit of random Atlas Park trivia catches your eye:

"Did you know the flag flying over City Hall used to be a cape belonging to Statesman?"

Statesman: The name of Paragon's most famous hero and founder of the Freedom Phalanx. Suddenly, you feel a yearning to go see this historical flag for yourself.

  • Inspect the flag atop City Hall.

You consider for a moment whether the officials inside City Hall might not be annoyed by all the rooftop traffic they most certainly get.

You hazard a guess that they are probably used to it at this point.

Mission Objective

  • Visit the flag on top of City Hall
Badge
Freedom / Covert Operator (126.1, 170.3, -652.4)[Copy]

This flag was crafted from Statesman's cape and was donated to Paragon City to replace the flag destroyed by the invading Rikti. It now flies over Paragon City Hall to honor the sacrifice made by Hero 1 and the rest of Omega Team.

Edge of Chaos

Briefing There is a curious highlighted portion on a visitor's guide you chanced upon:

"Despite most areas within City Hall being open to visitors, Longbow operations within the DATA branch are limited to those with appropriate Security Levels. Dedicated work is being done within to thwart Arachnos efforts in temporal meddling."

You just so happen to have about... Level Security Levels to your name and now find yourself wondering just what this operation is all about.

  • Stand on the Edge of Chaos.

You have heard about this "temporally-fluctuating alternative dimensional-timeline reversion". What exactly that is supposed to mean you are not sure; it is probably just as confusing as it sounds.

Either way, now would be a good chance to learn more!

Mission Objective

  • Inspect the Longbow checkpoint within City Hall
Badge
Edge of Chaos (-145.5, -784.0, -902.0)[Copy]

Longbow has set up this portal in the heart of City Hall. It leads to a possible future where Recluse achieves his ultimate victory over Atlas Park. While it's business as usual in City Hall, Longbow fights for their lives against Arachnos on the other side of this portal.

Observant

Briefing

Looking over a discarded visitor's guide map, you see a red zone marked off as restricted per "Vanguard jurisdictional authority".

Vanguard: the United Nations organization dedicated to keeping civilization safe against otherworldly threats such as the alien Rikti.

You know that Vanguard often provisionally works with any super-powered individuals willing to help; maybe you can get a sneak-peek of what they are working on right now.

  • Become Observant of Vanguard activity.

Despite Vanguard's having existed for decades and their public presence, you cannot help but feel like the organization has many dark secrets kept from the public eye on the threats they face, here on Earth...and beyond.

Mission Objective

  • Investigate Vanguard DPO within Atlas Park
Badge
Observant (-135.5, -94.0, 469.0)[Copy]

Vanguard only allows super-powered heroes and Vanguard officials into their compounds. Although Vanguard scientists become annoyed when people look in on their various Rikti experiments, it is really their own fault for not having curtains to cover up the window.
