Overview

Regeneration is the rate at which Hit Points are replenished over time for players and critters. A higher Regeneration rate increases the frequency of regeneration ticks, while a lowered regeneration has the opposite effect.

Regeneration is based on percentages, not fixed amounts of hit points (HP). During each regeneration tick, 5% of the character's current maximum health points will be regenerated. Thus, raising your maximum health through accolades, set bonuses, and Dull Pain type powers will also improve the amount of health gained each tick.

The base health regeneration takes 240 seconds for a player to go from 1 hit point to the maximum.

Many players confuse Regeneration with Recovery, which refers to the speed players regain their endurance; or with the powerset for Scrappers and Stalkers, which has several powers that improve regeneration.
