The Merit Reward Representative in an NPC who will inform players about anything related to Merits. She's in the Magisterium, between Praetor Duncan and Praetor White. If you go near her, she will say I have some information about Merit Rewards, if you're interested.

Her coordinates are (-4861.4, 32, -330)[Copy] .

If asked, her dialogue is as follows:

Character, I have been tasked by Praetorian officials to inform the citizens of this fine city about Merit Rewards.

You will be issued Merit Rewards each time you complete the following tasks: Story Arcs, Task Forces, Trials, Raids and Giant Monsters encounters. The number of Merits you earn is relative to the average completion time and difficulty of your task.

Tasks that require more manpower and time will grant more Merit Rewards upon completion. Task Forces and Trials grant the greatest number of Merit Rewards per hour, while Story Arcs grant a lesser ammount.

Do you have any questions?

  • How do I earn Merit Reward tokens?
So, you want more information on how you earn Merit Reward tokens? Very Well.
Each time you complete a time-consuming task such as a Story Arc, Task Force, Trial, Raid or defeat a Giant Monster encounter, you will automatically receive Merit Reward Tokens.
Merit Reward tokens will appear in your Salvage inventory under the 'Special' tab
The number of tokens that you receive is relative to the average completion time, difficulty and manpower required for that task.
What else would you like to know about?
  • What can I do with Merit Reward tokens?
Ah, so you'd like more information about what you can do with Merit Reward tokens. Good question.
Some of the most powerful rewards available can be purchased through the Merit Vendor. They'll exchange your Merit Reward Tokens for a reward of your choosing. You can find nearly everything you could ever want in their stock. Be careful, though, as all sales are final.
Merits can be exchanged for a large variety of rewards, including random Task Force and Trial recipes, random Rare salvage, Single Origin enhacements, Invention Origin enhacements, and even specific pieces of Invention Origins Enhacement sets! Merit Vendors are located within each city zone in a central location.
Do you have any further questions?
  • What happens when I complete the same task repeatedly?
I see, Character, so you'd like more information about completing the same task repeatedly.
Different tasks handle how you're granted Merit Rewards differently. Task Forces, Trials and Raids offer greater rewards for the time involved to complete them, but completing the same task within 24 hours will reduce the number of Merits that the task would normally grant. If you wait 24 hours to complete the same task again, you will receive the maximun number of Merit Rewards again.
Story Arcs will award you Merit Rewards, but they offer significantly reduced rewards for the time involved to complete them. They, however, do not have the number of Merits awarded reduced if they're completed multiple times within 24 hours.
Will there be anything else?
