This template is intended for use in articles concerning badges that any character may earn credit toward regardless of alignment, but will not be awarded unless they are of the correct alignment. Typically, these are accolade badges, but the need for this template may not be limited specifically to accolades.

Usage

This template requires three parameters to function properly. The parameters are order dependent and none of them are named.

This parameter indicates the alignment group a character must belong to in order to be awarded the badge. One of the following values must be used.

• h or hero - If the badge is only awarded to heroes or vigilantes, then one of these values must be used.
• v or villain - If the badge is only awarded to villains or rogues, then one of these values must be used.

This is the traditional method of earning this badge. In the case of accolades, this is usually done through collecting a series exploration, history, and defeat badges. Use of the following related templates within this parameter are highly encouraged:

This is the alternate method of earning this badge. In the case of accolades, this is usually done through earning another accolade with a similar power associated as a hero/villain and then changing alignments to villain/hero. This badge is only awarded to characters of the hero or vigilante alignments. Although credit for this badge may be earned by villains or rogues, the badge will not be awarded to a character until they change alignment.

Credit toward this badge may be earned using either of two methods.
