Ancient myths say that the goddess Tielekku was the first being to harness the power of magic. She then taught her magic to other gods and mortals and used her abilities to defeat an evil pantheon of gods, banishing them to the spirit world. Tielekku is a powerful entity, though it is rumored that her power has faded over the centuries due to the distribution of magic.
Background
According to the Scroll of Tielekku the goddess Tielekku was the first to harness the power of magic, taught it to other gods and used a powerful ritual to defeat an evil pantheon of gods, banishing them to the spirit world.
Her student Ermeeth would go on to defy her by teaching magic to mortals. Fearing that mortals learning magic would make the gods weak she dispatched her loyal student Hequat to lead the offensive against Ermeeth and his followers. Ermeeth was defeated and fled across the sea to found the City of Oranbega.
