Issue 13: Architect is the name of the newest, upcoming free expansion. A feature list has been published on 26th August, 2008.[1]

Confirmed Issue 13 Content

According to the official announcement and Positron's Issue outline:

  • Mission Architect - Players will have the ability to create missions and story arcs to share with the entire playerbase.

  • Day Jobs - Depending on where characters log out, they assume the role of the area as their day job. If they log out in a hospital, for example, they are working as doctors or nurses. When logging back in, characters receive certain bonuses and rewards according to their day jobs.
  • New powersets:
  • Patron respecs - Villains now have the ability to respec into different Patron Power Pools
  • Cimerora content has been expanded with new missions for Heroes and Villains.
  • Merit Rewards System - Completing Trials and Task Forces will earn a character merits, which they can use to purchase various items including recipes and costume pieces among others.
  • New Invention Enhancement sets and Costume pieces.

Likely Issue 13 Content

  • Base Improvements[2] - At least purchasing items for bases is expected to be upgraded.
  • Option for characters of Arachnos Soldier archetype to remove their helmets. Evidenced by a bug in the tailor.

Note: While the IGN article did mention that more powerset proliferation would be in Issue 13, an official announcement raises precaution. While it doesn't deny that the feature will be in Issue 13, it is still not confirmed. [4]
