Overview

petsay_all text
petsay_all <em emote name> text

sent to all pets

petsay text

sent to the currently selected pet

petsay_pow power(truncated) text

sent to pets that most closely match the power

petsay_name petname(truncated) text

sent to pet(s) that most closely match the name

Since these are similar to other chat commands, you can replace text with color modifiers.

Power(truncated) is the name of the power that was used to summon the pet. If you use the full power name with spaces, then you must put the name of the power in quotes. However binds get broken if there are quotes inside of quotes. Therefore it is best to truncate the power name. Since all the summon powers are unique for the first three or four letters, you can truncate them as such. However, if you use an abbreviation that has letters common with two summon powers, the command will be sent to all pets that match those powers. In Ninjas, we have Call Genin, Call Jounin, and Oni. If the command is petsay_pow nin We win!, then all the Genins and Jounins will say "We win!", but the Oni will not.

Petname(truncated) can be used the same way as power(truncated) can. Pretend you've renamed the three minions to Harold Smith, Jeff Johnson, and Michael Thorson. All of them have the letter O in their name, but only two have the letter I. Two of them have "son" in their name. And finally, two of them have the letters "TH" in common. They all have spaces in their name, and creating binds/macros with spaces and quotes can, and will, break. So you can shorten their names to just their last names.

Example:

petsayall <em drink>

All pets will hold a coffee cup and drink occasionally

petsayall Waiting...

A chat bubble will appear above all the pets' heads with "Waiting.." in it.

petsayall <em drumdance><bgcolor yellow> We have to go potty!!

Common Uses

Besides setting a pet's stance with one of the petcom commands, it can be useful for the pets to also express their change visually.
