Point Blank Area of Effect

A Point Blank Area of Effect (PBAoE) power is one that affects all permitted target types (usually either enemies or allies) within a certain radius of the user. This is in contrast with Ranged Area of Effect, which can be centered on a distant location.

Common examples of a PBAoE include melee attacks that hit all enemies in melee range and Leadership pool powers that give all allies in range a statistic boost.

There are also Invention Sets that are specialized for offensive PBAoE powers.
