Icons

"Dull Pain" heal/+HP-with-a-duration icon, in an auto? (DP vs HPT!) "Build Up" self-buff icon in an enemy-effecting toggle? (BU vs Blazing Aura!) *slaps the devs* -- Aggelakis 22:43, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

From the (obviously) limited info we have so far, it appears that HPT is actually just a +HP without a heal. The toggle (likely the taunt aura of the set) is probably similar to Invincibility in that it's front loaded and offers increased damage only while you have foes in melee. I'm sure there's balancing to be done.  :) --Eabrace 00:07, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
Can't say as I agree with your assessment there. I am talking about the ICONS. They are using the wrong DETAILS to describe what's going on with the powers.
Invulnerability DullPain.png Dull Pain: Clickie.
Willpower HighPainTolerance.png High Pain Tolerance: Auto.
  • ShieldDefense TrueGrit.png True Grit: Auto.
FireManipulation BuildUp.png Build Up: clickie, buffs self.
Willpower RiseToTheChallenge.png Rise to the Challenge: toggle, buffs self, debuffs enemies.
  • ShieldDefense AgainstAllOdds.png Against All Odds: toggle, buffs self, debuffs enemies.
On further review, I can accept AAO's current icon (the premise is similar to RttC's, even though both do not indicate they also affect enemies), but I simply cannot accept TG's. That icon is +HP-with-a-duration (clock behind the plus sign). TG is an auto. The clock needs to be removed, as there is no duration on an auto :p It's too bad I am not in closed beta to /bug it on test. -- Aggelakis 00:19, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
The devs left a lot of work-in-progress remnants in those icons. Check the filenames to see how well they line up with the power names. (-:
Other than that, they probably had a Dull Pain-esque power in mind during testing, and decided to make it more like Willpower's High Pain Tolerance instead and never changed the icon. It sucks, yes, but there are a LOT of icons in the game with the wrong overlays. You just get used to it after a while. --GuyPerfect 01:22, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

IO Sets

Since we know what enhancements can be slotted in each power, any objections to best-guessing the IO sets? Or should we just wait until open beta? (Skipping for now.) --Eabrace 20:39, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Went ahead and took a best guess at the sets on this and Pain Domination. I figured I might as well put something in there now since I'm in the process of bringing everything up to speed with I12. I can try to finalize the info when I get to adding in new IO sets (Accurate Healing, etc.) for I13 on the next pass. --Eabrace 19:38, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Levels
