The Sky Is Falling
It began when Admiral Sutter asked you to volunteer for a classified operation out in the Atlantic Ocean, where the C.S.S. and the U.S. 11th Fleet Freedom Corps Initiative had identified an energy signature that was confirmed to be a Praetorian Rift. You joined a contingent of 11th Fleet naval vessels to investigate the signature and came under attack by a coalition of Sky Raiders and Praetorian Imperial Defense Force soldiers. The source of the attack was a mass of ocean vessels stolen over the years and cobbled together into a sort of floating fortress by the Sky Raiders. The attack on this fortress was fierce, but ultimately the Praetorian Rift was silenced and the commander of the fortress captured.
Information obtained by fleet specialists determined that a cargo ship had left the Sky Raider flotilla and all evidence suggested that this ship was chock full of Praetorian IDF soldiers and their dreaded Warwalkers. Boarding a helicopter, you made haste toward Paragon City, discovering too late that the Praetorian offensive had already begun on Talos Island. Arriving in the burning port you followed a trail of devastation inland, where you linked up with Luminary and learned that Longbow and the police force had managed to contain the IDF forces inside the main transit tunnel. You moved in to finish the job.
Instead of finding a massive invasion force you discovered only a token rear guard. The rest of the IDF invaders had moved into the sewer network and were headed toward the mainland under the war walls! Luminary ordered you to pursue and report the position of the IDF forces so that Longbow and Paragon Police could respond before the attackers resurfaced. As you gave chase and arrived beneath Skyway City you felt the ground churn and roll as a powerful earthquake rocked the city above. Luminary informed you that reports were coming in that Skyway City was under attack not only by IDF troops emerging from the sewer system, but by Sky Raider forces supported by high performance combat aircraft. Rushing to put an end to the attack on Skyway you were intercepted by a vile Praetorian Powers Division member named Riptide, and he was backed up by a powerful Seer and grotesque walking cyborg bombs.
Moving into Skyway City proper you felt the ground again lurch and the air choke with dust as the Skyway City freeway system collapsed over your location, threatening to bury you alive. Moving beneath the rubble you encountered two Praetorian super powered individuals who, despite opposing genders, had a striking similarity to the Primal Earth individuals Fusionette and Jim Temblor. You had to defeat the two before they could charge up a third and final earthquake that would bring Skyway City down on top of you all.
clambering up from the ruins of the Freeway you sought out the masterminds behind the attack on the city; Colonel Duray of the Sky Raiders, and Colonel Duray of the Praetorian Imperial Defense Force. You located the duo coordinating the attack across the city and engaged them in a deadly battle. Ultimately, however, the Praetorian forces and their Sky Raider allies proved to be no match for your abilities. With the attack stymied and their commanders dead or captured, Longbow and the city's combined heroes surrounded and forced the surrender of the scattered and leaderless IDF forces, while the United States Navy pursued and shot down the last of the Sky Raider's high performance fighter aircraft. Though the city burned, the day had been won, all thanks to your valiant efforts in opposing the Praetorian Menace.
