Arachnos/Tarantulas
Overview
Created by Weaver One, these unholy terrors of human and machine are some of Arachnos' most deadly operatives.
The Tarantula Exoskeleton Armor was developed by an Orb Weaver cell named Weaver One. It grants the user incredible strength and wires him directly to his weapons systems. Rumor is that the pilot must undergo a terrible treatment of some sort to properly graft with the suit.
There seems to be two versions of Tarantulas: The first would be a robot, while the second would be a cyborg created by integrating a human being, usually a Fortunata, into the Tarantula exoskeleton. Crippled Arachnos soldiers are also known to have been turned into Tarantulas as well, but not everyone survives the integration process.
The rare few Fortunatas who volunteer for the Tarantula program receive specially-designed suits that greatly amplify their psychic abilities, allowing them to not only comunicate the next few seconds of time to their allies, but also to distort reality for their foes as well.
The exoskeleton itself is a technological marvel which provides excellent mobility and protection against most types of damage. Special versions such as the Fire Tarantulas or the variants used by the Fortunatas have even higher resistances. It's no surprise that Crey Industries has tried to steal info on the Tarantulas' creation at least once.
The Tarantula Exoskeleton seems to be the basic idea behind the monstrous Jade Spider as well.
This Arachnos Corps is under the command of Black Scorpion.
Notable Tarantulas
This Tarantula Queen lives in the Web of Grandville, which she uses to learn about everything that happens in the island... and Grandville is an island full of secrets. Apparently, she's the current leader of the Tarantula Queens.
Number 204 may be the first in a new generation of Tarantulas. Unlike the robots Arachnos fields today, Number 204 is an intelligent and self-aware Tarantula, which can explain the harsh day-to-day life of robots in the service to Arachnos.

A rare few Fortunatas volunteer for the Tarantula program. Those who survive integration with the machine are truly terrors to behold. Their specially-designed suits greatly amplify their psychic abilities, allowing them to not only comunicate the next few seconds of time to their allies, but also to distort reality for their foes as well.

This basic attack does moderate Psionic damage, and can slightly reduce a target's attack speed.
Psychic Scream (Ranged, Cone, Psionic) Foe -Recharge
This howl of Psionic energy resonates in the minds of all foes within its conical area of effect, inflicting moderate damage.
Telekinetic Blast Ranged, Moderate Damage (Smash/Psionic), Foe Knockback
You can use Telekinesis to Blast a targeted foe with the power of your mind. This attack deals Smashing and Psionic damage, and can knock your opponent back. Damage: Moderate. Recharge: Moderate.
Will Domination (Only level 40 and up) Ranged, High Damage, Psionic, Foe Sleep
This powerful attack deals Psionic damage, and is so painful it usually renders its target unconscious. The victim is asleep, and will wake if disturbed.

What terrible process pushes a woman to become one of these unholy terrors is a subject of much speculation. What is known is that their suits are little different from Tarantula Mistresses. Instead, it seems the user somehow suffers the upgrade. Tarantula Queens are incredibly powerful, but also quite mad.

Aura of Confusion can cause chaos within a group of foes. All affected foes within the area will turn and attack each other, ignoring the user and their allies. If you confuse a foe before they noticed you, your presence will continue to go unnoticed. You will not receive any Experience Points for foes defeated entirely by confused enemies.

Your mental training allows you to focus your will, allowing you to move faster than normal, as well as resist slow and confuse effects. This power is always on and permanently increases your attack rate and movement speed.

You are more evasive to ranged attacks and immune to knockback effects.
Tactical Training: Maneuvers Toggle, Point Blank Area of Effect, Team Def( All10 )
A good leader knows how to protect his team. While active, this power increases the Defense of yourself and all nearby teammates to all attacks.

This Paralytic Poison viciously attacks a foe's nervous system and can leave an affected target completely Held and defenseless.

You Envenom your foe with a nasty poison. The toxin directly attacks the immune system, reducing the affected targets Defense, Damage Resistance and Hit Point Regeneration Rate. The poison is so potent, that the target actually responds less to Healing while affected by the poison.
Weaken High-Accuracy, Ranged, Foe -Damage, -ToHit, -Special
You poison a single foe with a venom that significantly Weakens their strength. The affected target's chance to hit and Damage output is severely reduced. Additionally, the affected targets secondary power effects are all weakened. The targets power effects like Heals, Defense Buffs, Endurance Drains, Disorients, Holds, Immobilizes, Knockbacks and more, are all weakened.
