Overview

Issue 8, titled To Protect and Serve has not been released yet. It has a current ETA of September 2006.

Confirmed content

  • Veteran Reward system - System that rewards players for every three months that their account has been active. (Confirmed by Positron)
    • Trenchcoat costume piece confirmed as the first (3 month) reward from the Veteran Reward System.
    • New set of rewards every three months.
  • Legacy system - System for further improving level 50 characters. (System confirmed by Positron. Name of the system was not confirmed, though)
  • First set of new story content to build up towards the expansion box.
  • Major Overhaul to Faultline with new contacts and missions, as well as a better street-hunting experience.
  • Addition of "Police Band Missions" which are randomly generated missions. (The Hero equivalent to Newspaper missions.)
    • These can lead the Heroes into Safeguard missions which are the hero versions of Mayhem Missions. The Hero job is to protect and to stop crime.
  • Addition of Arena kiosks in Pocket D so heroes and villains can more easily challenge one another in the arenas.
  • Wings as costume pieces.

  • Nictus (evil Warshades) and an evil version of Peacebringers for City of Villains, unlocked by getting a villain to level 50.
  • Character transfer service (Server to server transfers). (Mentioned by CuppaJo as being close to done, she was hopeing for it to make I8. Not "Confirmed" yet since it's still not certain it'll make it in.)
