Overview

The Origins Pack will provide characters with new customization options based on the five character Origins: Magic, Mutant, Natural, Science, and Technology. Origin Auras and Capes are not locked to origin and can be freely accessed by any character from level 1. Origin Auras are available in regular and combat aura modes, and are fully tintable.

Origins Auras

  • Magic:
    • Runes - Mystic runes fade in and out around the selected body parts.
    • Tarot Cards - Random Mystic Fortune card images fade in and out around the selected body parts.
  • Mutant:
    • Toxic Vapor - A somewhat more sinister-looking vapor than the Level 30 unlockable gaseous auras.
    • Bio Plasma - A sheath of flames, more substantial and liquid-like than the Level 30 unlockable flame aura.
  • Natural:
    • Leaves - Leaves appear around the selected body parts and flutter downward. They vanish upon hitting the ground, so the character doesn't leave litter around.
    • Thunderhead - A cloudy aura with lightning bolts shooting randomly through it. If selected for the eyes, there is no appreciable cloud, and the lightning effect is more intermittent than with the Level 30 unlockable lightning aura.
  • Science:
    • Atomic - Three glowing spheres orbit the selected body parts in a manner like electrons in a cartoon atom.
    • Cryogenics - Heavier-than-air mist drifts from the selected body parts.
  • Technology:
    • Steamjets - Short bursts of tintable steam spurt intermittently from certain parts of the selected body parts.
    • Sparks - Small sparks "pop" from the selected body parts. No electrical arcs.

Origin Capes

  • Cloak of the Eighth Circle - Magic
  • Spliced - Mutant
  • Autumnal - Natural
  • Unified Field Façade - Science
  • Impervium Mantle - Technology (Ultra Mode enabled, this cape is reflective. You may opt to have it reflective on both sides or just the outside.)

History

  • Released on on November 3, 2010, though some packs were available earlier as contest rewards.
