Overview

Primal Forces Mastery is one of the Ancillary Power Pools available to Controllers and Dominators. Template:UnlockController

You have Mastery over Primal Forces and energy to blast your foes, increase your power, and to add some much needed armor and defense.

You can focus for a moment to conserve your endurance. After activating this power, you expend less endurance on all other powers for a while.

Energy Torrent unleashes a cone of powerful energy that can smash foes and possibly knock them down.

Mastery of Energy Melee begins with the ability to transfer your own hit points into a punch that deals extreme Smashing and Energy damage. Energy Transfer has a good chance of Disorienting the target.

You hurl a blast of charged energy that violently explodes on impact, damaging all foes near the target. Explosive Blast may also knock targets back.

A much more powerful, yet slower version of Power Bolt. Power Blast sends a focused beam of energy at a foe that can knock him back.

PrimalForcesMastery PowerBoost.png Power Boost

Greatly boosts the secondary effects of your powers. Your powers effects like disorients, holds, immobilizes, heals, defense buffs, endurance drains, knockbacks and more, are all improved. The effects of Power Boost last a short while, and only the next couple of attacks will be boosted. You must be level 44 and have two other Primal Forces Mastery Powers before selecting this power.

Note: This power improves the strength of your Heals, Endurance drains and gifts, Runspeed powers, Flight powers, Defense buffs and debuffs, and ToHit buffs and debuffs, as well as the duration of your Sleep, Hold, Disorient, Immobilize, Fear, and Confuse status effects. It does not increase the strength of your Knockback effects. That part of the power description is outdated.

PrimalForcesMastery TemporaryInvulnerabilty.png Temp Invulnerability

When you toggle on this power, you become highly resistant to smashing and lethal damage. You must be level 41 and have Power Blast or Conserve Power before selecting this power.

Historical

This section contains information about changes that took place in City of Heroes/Villains. It is provided for historical purposes.

  • This set was added to the game in Issue 3.
  • Energy Torrent was added to this set in Issue 13.
  • This set was made available to Dominators in Issue 18.
  • Issue 21 lowered the level at which the set's powers become available: two changed from 41 to 35, two from 44 to 41, and one from 47 to 44.
