Overview
The Hearts of Darkness are a group of villains participating in a contest lead by Dr. Graves. They can be encountered in the ongoing training missions from villain contact Dr. Graves.

Where he came from, no one knows. Who he is, not even he remembers. What he has planned, only the soon-to-be dead learn. Not much of a conversationalist, Crosscut likes to talk with his blades. And usually, that's the last thing one hears.

Powers
Nimble Slash Melee, Moderate Damage(Lethal)
A quick swipe with your blades. Does minor lethal damage, but has a quick recharge rate. This attack begins both the Empower and Weaken combination attacks.
Power Slice Melee, High Damage(Lethal), Foe Knockdown
You perform a deadly Strike with your blades. This is a basic attack that deals a moderate amount of lethal damage. This power is needed for the Sweep combination attack.
Throwing Knives Ranged Moderate Damage(Lethal), Minor Damage over Time(Lethal)
With your natural origin you have to rely on your cunning and skill. You've acquired these throwing knives as part of your personal arsenal. You can throw these knives at a very short range, and deal minor Lethal damage to your target, but a nasty wound will do additional Damage over Time. Note that Throwing Knives is unaffected by Range changes.
Typhoon's Edge (Only Level 10 and up) Point Blank Area of Effect, Moderate Damage(Lethal), Foe -Defense, -ToHit
You spin around in a circle, attacking everyone within melee range with a striking attack. This attack is the finishing move in both the Weaken and Sweep combination attacks.
Focused Fighting (Only Level 6 and up) Auto, Self Def( M7.5 R7.5 )
You become more evasive to melee attacks while you have Focused Fighting activated. This will increase your Defense versus melee as long as it is active. Your Focus also offers you resistance to Confuse effects and DeBuffs to Defense.
Dollface
Main Article: Dollface
The least dangerous-appearing of all the candidates, Dollface manages to use her looks to her advantage. Everyone involved knows that when the time comes, she'll be the easiest to 'do away with'.
Powers
Mesmerize Ranged, Moderate DMG(Psionic), Foe Sleep
Mesmerize painfully assails a target with psychic energy, rendering them unconscious. The target will remain asleep for some time, but will awaken if attacked. Damage: Moderate, Recharge: Moderate
Levitate Ranged, Moderate DMG(Smash)
You can send a single target violently into the air, then slam them to the ground for Smashing damage. This power can bring flying foes to the ground. Damage: Moderate, Recharge: Moderate
Psionic Dart Ranged, Minor DMG(Psionic), Target -Recharge
This basic attack does minor Psionic damage, and can slightly reduce a target's attack speed, but has a very fast attack rate. Damage: Minor, Recharge: Fast
Mental Blast Ranged, Moderate DMG(Psionic), Target -Recharge
This basic attack does moderate Psionic damage, and can slightly reduce a target's attack speed. Damage: Moderate, Recharge: Fast
Mind Probe Melee, Moderate DMG(Psionic), Target -Recharge
Grip the minds of your foe with a Mind Probe. You must be in close proximity to pull off this attack that wrecks havoc on your foes synapses, dealing moderate Psionic Damage while reducing their attack speed. Damage: Moderate, Recharge: Moderate

Dark Blast Ranged, Moderate DMG(Negative), Foe -To Hit
A long range blast of dark energy. Deals moderate Negative Energy damage and reduces the target's chance to hit. Damage: Moderate, Recharge: Fast
Zombie Horde Summon Zombies
Summons one to three Zombies (depending on your level) to do your bidding. Zombies are very tough but can be slow and stupid. They start out with only rudimentary melee attacks, but can be empowered with range and even life draining powers. You may only have 3 Zombies under your control at any given time. If you attempt to summon more Zombies, you can only replace the ones you have lost in battle. If you already have three, the power will fail. Recharge: Very Long

- The walking dead may be slow and stupid, but wise heroes know better than to underestimate them. Even when a person survives an encounter with a zombie, he rarely escapes entirely unscathed. He will often find himself waking in the night, shuddering at the memory of a dry and lifeless touch.

Zombies are resistant to Sleep, Fear, Slow and Disorient. They are also resistant to Smashing, Cold, Negative Energy, Toxic and Psionic damage. They have a powerful Brawling attack.

The Zombies can Projectile Vomits a corrosive bile that deals Toxic damage over time.
Nullify Pain PBAoE, Team +Heal
Nullify Pain will heal nearby allies for some hit points by numbing the pain caused by their wounds. Nullify Pain is not as potent as Soothe, but can heal multiple targets at once. Recharge: Moderate
Gloom Ranged, High DoT(Negative), Foe -To Hit
Gloom slowly drains a target of life, while reducing their chance to hit Slower than Dark Blast, but deals more damage over time. Damage: High(DoT), Recharge: Moderate
Grave Knight Summon Grave Knight
You can summon one to two powerful Grave Knights (depending on your level) to do your bidding. Grave Knights come well equipped with several attack powers and can be empowered with even more. You may only have 2 Grave Knights under your control at any given time. If you attempt to summon more Grave Knights, you can only replace the ones you have lost in battle. If you already have two, the power will fail. Recharge: Very Long

- Only the most battle hardened warriors filled with a lust for revenge will return as a Grave Knight. This undead warrior may be sentient, but it has no understanding of a living world now alien to him. It can only see its own bloodlust and thirst for vengeance. Only the most powerful Masterminds can control them.

Grave Knights are resistant to Sleep, Fear, Slow and Disorient. They are also resistant to Cold, Negative Energy, Toxic and Psionic damage. He can Hack and Slash with his Rusty Sword and can fire Dark Blasts.

You perform a quick Slash that can reduce a target's Defense, making them easier to hit. This attack causes moderate damage, but has a quick recharge time. Damage: Moderate, Recharge: Fast
Soothe Ally Heal
You heal an ally by numbing their pain and calming their mind. You cannot use this power on yourself.
Omnicore
Omnicore possesses neither patience nor tolerance towards anything that does not revolve around her quest for the perfect weapon. Very little is known about her, which is more due to her being nose-down into her work and not talking to others than any other mysterious reasons. She has spent years working on creating the perfect weapon, incorporating parts of her own body to increase power throughput to the device. If one looks closely, they might notice that she has added a great deal of her body parts to make this happen perhaps maybe even all of them.

Power Bolt Ranged, Minor DMG(Energy/Smash), Foe Knockback
A quick attack that rapidly hurls small bolts of energy at foes, sometimes knocking them down. Fast, but little damage. Damage: Minor, Recharge: Fast
Power Blast Ranged, Moderate DMG(Energy/Smash), Foe Knockback
A much more powerful, yet slower version of Power Bolt. Power Blast sends a focused beam of energy at a foe that can knock them back. Damage: Moderate, Recharge: Moderate
Siphon Power Ranged, Foe -DMG, Team +DMG
You can Siphon the Power from a targeted foe, reducing their damage potential. The power is transferred back to you, increasing your own damage potential and that of all nearby allies. Recharge: Slow
Energy Torrent Ranged (Cone), Moderate DMG(Energy/Smash), Foe Knockback
Energy Torrent unleashes a cone of powerful energy that can smash foes and possibly send them flying. Damage: Moderate, Recharge: Slow
Siphon Speed Ranged, Foe -Speed, Self +Speed, +Recharge
You can Siphon the speed from a targeted foe, Slowing their movement and attack rate while boosting your own. Recharge: Long

Zephyr is the embodiment of the wind of the same name.

Your fists become electrically charged and deliver a powerful punch. Charged Brawl can drain some Endurance from the target and may overload their synapses, leaving them writhing for a moment. A portion of drained Endurance may be returned to you. Disturbing an overloaded target will disperse the electrical charge and release them Damage: Minor, Recharge: Fast
Havoc Punch Melee, Moderate DMG(Smash/Energy), Foe Sleep, -End
The Havoc Punch is a slower attack than Charged Brawl, but makes up for it with a greater damage. Havoc Punch can drain some Endurance from your target and may overload their synapses, leaving him writhing for a moment. A portion of the drained Endurance may be given back to you. Disturbing an overloaded target will disperse the electrical charge and release him. Damage: Moderate, Recharge: Moderate
Charged Armor Toggle: Self +Res(Smash, Lethal, Energy)
When you toggle on this power, you are surrounded in a charged field that makes you highly resistant to Smashing, Lethal and Energy damage. Recharge: Fast
Lightning Bolt Ranged, High DMG(Energy), Foe -End
You can send a large blast of electrical energy at a foe, dealing heavy damage and draining some Endurance. Some of this Endurance may transfer back to you. Lightning Bolt deals more damage than Charged Bolts, but recharges more slowly. Damage: High, Recharge: Moderate
Jacobs Ladder Melee (Cone), High DMG(Energy), Foe Sleep, -End
You are able to generate a strong current between your arms and snap a powerful bolt of electricity in an arc in front of you. This melee attack can electrocute all foes within the arc dealing High energy damage. Jacobs Ladder can drain some Endurance from your target and may overload their synapses, leaving him writhing for a moment. Disturbing an overloaded target will disperse the electrical charge and release him. Damage: High, Recharge: Moderate
