Overview

Psionic Mastery is one of the Ancillary Power Pools available to Brutes, Controllers, Dominators, Sentinels, and Tankers.

You have mastery over psionics and the mind to blast your foes, increase your power, and to add some much needed armor and defense. (Brute, Controller, Dominator, Tanker)

You have advance Mastery over your psionic abilities and are able to control your foes and aid your allies with them. (Sentinel)

Painfully tears at the mind of a single foe. Dominate deals Psionic damage and renders a foe helpless, lost in their own mind and unable to defend themselves.

Sentinels: You must be level 38 and have one other Psionic Mastery Powers before selecting this power.

Psionic Mastery HarmonicMind.png Harmonic Mind

By achieving perfect harmony of body, mind and spirit you are able to conserve and recover endurance slightly faster than normal. This power is always active and consumes no endurance. You must be level 38 and have one other Psionic Mastery Powers before selecting this power.

PsionicMastery IndomitableWill.png Indomitable Will

Activating this power greatly boosts your resistance to sleep, disorient, fear and hold effects for 90 seconds. Indomitable Will also grants a high defense to psionic based attacks.

PsionicMastery LinkMinds.png MentalControl MindLink.png Link Minds

Your Mind Link Power will enable you to link the minds of all your teammates who are near you for the next 90 seconds. This shared link improves your teams chances to hit foes, your defensive abilities and dramatically reduces psionic damage.

MentalControl MassHypnosis.png Mass Hypnosis

Hypnotizes a group of foes at a distance and puts them to Sleep. The targets will remain asleep for some time, but will awaken if attacked. This power deals no damage, but if done discreetly, the targets will never be aware of your presence.

Mesmerize painfully assails a target with psychic energy, rendering them unconscious. The target will remain asleep for some time, but will awaken if attacked.

When you toggle on this power, you empower your Mind Over Body to become highly resistant to smashing, lethal and psionic damage. You must be level 38 and have Mental Blast (Link Minds for Dominators) or Indomitable Will before selecting this power.

MentalControl MindProbe.png Mind Probe

Grip the minds of your foe with a Mind Probe. You must be in close proximity to pull off this attack that wrecks havoc on your foes synapses, dealing moderate Psionic Damage while reducing their attack speed.

Unleashes a whirlwind of psionic energy on a target, tossing nearby foes into the air. The Psionic Tornado damages foes and slows their attack speed. You must be level 44 and have two other Psionic Mastery Powers before selecting this power.

Psychic Shockwave is a devastating Psionic attack that wracks the minds of all nearby foes. Affected foes may have a reduced attack rate and may be left Disoriented.

PsionicMastery WorldofConfusion.png World of Confusion

This toggle power allows you to cause psionic damage and cause confusion within a group of foes, creating chaos. The chance of confusing an enemy is lower than the chance of damaging them, and it may take multiple hits to affect stronger opponents. All affected foes within the area will turn and attack each other, ignoring all heroes. You will not receive any Experience Points for foes defeated by Confused enemies. You must be level 41 and have Mental Blast (Link Minds for Dominators) or Indomitable Will before selecting this power.

Historical

This section contains information about changes that took place in City of Heroes/Villains. It is provided for historical purposes.

  • This set was added to the game in Issue 3.
  • World of Confusion was added to this set in Issue 16.
  • This set was made available to Dominators in Issue 18.
  • Issue 21 lowered the level at which the set's powers become available: two changed from 41 to 35, two from 44 to 41, and one from 47 to 44.
  • This set was included with the release of Sentinels in Issue 25.
  • Issue 27, Page 5 lowered the level at which the third power from Ancillary Power Pools unlocked from level 41 to level 38.
