Special Trial?

I've heard rumors that the Bootleg edition trial code is special, in that you don't need to upgrade to the full game after the trial runs out. All that is needed is to start paying the monthly fee. I'll probably test this out soon, as I'm feeling the need for a second account for testing purposes Smilies smile.gif. --StarGeek 13:14, 3 September 2006 (PDT)

Category idea?

Any ideas for a category for this and Good_Versus_Evil_Edition? Just Editions maybe? --StarGeek 13:14, 3 September 2006 (PDT)

I think Editions is good, or possibly "Retail Editions"? I've got the pre-order for CoH, Special Edition for CoH & CoV as well. - Snorii 15:30, 3 September 2006 (PDT)
<.< I talked to War from the CoH forums about it (she's one of the other leaders in the LoC and works as a writer for gaming magazines) and the best we could come up with was "Disc Releases", so I went ahead and made it, figuring it could be edited if someone came up with something better ^^ --Sleepy Kitty 11:06, 2 October 2006 (PDT)

Curiosity..

o.o was looking at this now (err.. one of my physical copies, I have 20 or so) and was wondering.. does the bootleg edition create a normal trial account now or is it sill a separate sorta trial on the account page? and if it is separate, does it operate under the standard trial rules? Back ages ago when this came out, the account management had this listed as "bootleg edition" on the manage page instead of the normal "trial"... >.> back then though the only diff between a trial and an account was # of days till you became inactive/renewed..

Of course, for all I know these codes don't even work anymore, they certainly don't pass them out at the cons now (slips of paper with codes last time I was at one) and have become a slight collectors piece.. @.@ oh! that reminds me.. these need to be added to the merchandise page, they used to be sold at GameStops and EBGames for $1. --Sleepykitty 14:15, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
