Part of a chain mission

This contact is not introduced by Threatening Arachnos Message. This contact does not introduce Heather Townshend. Both contacts are endpoints for FedEx-style sub-missions that are part of a chain started by Threatening Arachnos Message. When the Arachnos contact's mission is complete, both contacts will be available. --GuyPerfect 18:35, 14 March 2012 (UTC)

Hey Guy can you clarify this? Heather is certainly 'introduced' by both Threatening Arachnos Message and Captain Nolan's arcs, although not in the classic "Introduce a new contact" style of old. Maharaj is introduced by Threatening Arachnos Message 'along the way' as well. Also, I am not sure what you mean by 'sub-mission'. Rather, the arcs of Nolan and TAM are a set of changing objectives. The purpose of the Noalan and TAM arcs are to introduce charcters ICly to DA and the contacts there 9and the situation), so... yeah, not your standard stuff. iven we can talk to Heather and Maharaj without the arcs... The Threatening Arachnos Message mission is one mission with seven parts:
1) Speak with Arbiter Daos.
2) Visit a location.
3) Door mission.
4) Click a zowie.
5) Speak with a CoT mage.
6) Speak with Maharaj.
7) Speak with Heather Townshend.
All of these sub-missions are chained together, and immediately show up in the mission menu without returning to contact. Among other things, it has four FedExes: parts 1, 5, 6 and 7. It's just that parts 6 and 7 have a side-effect of adding contacts to your character without going through the "Be introduced to a new contact" interface. That's not in the same ballpark as "Maharaj introduces you to Heather Townshend." --GuyPerfect 00:05, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

Okay, I think I see what you are saying. Please though clarify explicitly what you mean by "Fed-Exes" -- as an aussie the term is lost on me.
And you are right, the TAM or Nolan do not introduce one to Maharaj or Heather in the same way that (for example) Keith Nance introduces Jenni Adair ('classic introduction'?). On the other hand, the intended purpose of the TAM and Captain Nolan contacts is to introduce eligible players to the lay of the land in Dark Astoria. And on the way they do meet those contacts, and it's a wider definition of 'introduce' that may (or may not) fit the bill.
Is it reasonable to simply note for each of those that these contacts are met in the course of the arcs from TAM and Capt. Nolan?
I'll confirm that the DA contacts can be walked up to without formal introduction and provide their contact intro, which'll simplify things. Taosin 02:07, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

(The term "FedEx" refers to Federal Express, the expedited-delivery company. In this context it means simply a "go and talk to this person" task.) -- Blondeshell 02:15, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
