I have a friend who wants to talk with you.

Level 5-9

Have you ever met Paula Dempsey? She's a real pistol and has a great deal of information on the Clockwork. You'll like her, and I'll bet she'll like you as well. Paula hangs out in Kings Row.

Paula has high standards, but I have no doubt you will live up to them, Character.

You should talk to Maurice Feldon some time. He keeps track of anything that's going on in the science world. He's particularly interested in the Clockwork King. Maurice's company is in Galaxy City so you can usually find him there.

Maurice may be a little reckless, but he is very intelligent and he means well.

Tony Kord is a good person to know. He knows what's happening in the city, especially where the Clockwork are concerned, and he'll often suggest solutions. Tony's company is in Atlas Park, so he usually hangs out there.

Deal honestly with Tony if you want his help.

Information

Technological Hero Liaison

Caitlin Murray-Davies has been working with computers since the age of 10, and there's nothing she can't program or fix. She used to work for Exarch Industries, programming cybernetic hardware and perfecting their Man-Machine interfaces. One day she was working late in the office when it was attacked by the Freakshow. She was kidnapped and forced to integrate the Freaks' stolen cybernetics into their bodies. After a three month ordeal, she was rescued by the power-suited hero Horatio. She didn't feel safe going back to her old job, so Horatio introduced her to his friends at DATA. After the Rikti War, Horatio retired his suit to work for DATA in his civilian identity of Rick Davies. Caitlin recently married Rick after being his long-time girlfriend.

Missions (Level 1+)

Retrieve the piece from Kip Cantorum

Get piece from Kip Cantorum

Briefing

Character, have you seen any of those Clockwork sprockets around town? Well, DATA, the Department of Advanced Technological Application, wants to understand them better. Those scavenging robots are proving to be a real threat to the city. They'll take anything that's metal: mailboxes, lampposts, even cars! I heard a rumor that an engineer here in Galaxy City named Kip Cantorum has a critical piece from one of the Clockwork sprockets. Would you retrieve the Clockwork piece from Mr. Cantorum? Thanks, Character. You're a real sweetheart.

Mission Acceptance

Thanks for helping me out with this, Character. I think there are good things in store for you.

Unnecessary Solicitation

I promised to get that Clockwork piece over to Rick Davies at the Atlas Park branch of DATA.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Get piece from Kip Cantorum

Briefing

Sorry, Character, I just gave that Clockwork piece to another Hero. Perhaps I can still help you out, I saw some of those robots going in and out of an old abandoned office, and I think I saw some at a warehouse. I'd be willing to bet you could find a suitable piece in one of those two places.

Defeat all Clockwork in office

Unnecessary Solicitation

If Kip says you should check out that office, it's probably a good lead.

Mission Objective(s)

Doorknobs, hinges, and assorted metal scraps are piled in the corners of the room.

  • Defeat all Clockwork in office

You defeated the Clockwork but failed to recover an undamaged piece.

Defeat all robots in warehouse

Unnecessary Solicitation

If all goes well, you'll find the Clockwork part in that abandoned warehouse.

Mission Objective(s)

The chatter of the Clockwork's gears sets your teeth on edge.

  • Defeat all robots in warehouse

You defeated the Clockwork and recovered a piece from one of the robots.

Enemies

Clockwork
Clue
Sprocket piece

This critical piece of a Clockwork sprocket should prove useful to the scientists at DATA. They are always looking for new technology to examine and adapt.

Debriefing

You did just wonderfully, Character! I really appreciate how you came through. You're going to be a big name in Paragon City, just wait and see!

Patrol Galaxy City

Briefing

The Clockwork seem to be getting bolder by the day. They're attacking major businesses and scavenging from the streets in broad daylight. I'd like you to patrol Galaxy City. You can reduce the Clockwork threat while reassuring Paragon City's citizens.

Mission Acceptance

Start at the location marked on your map, then go on to the next. Keep an eye out for any Clockwork activity. Of course, you're welcome to take out any other threats you see.

Unnecessary Solicitation

There's still more patrolling to do, Character.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Patrol for Clockwork activity (5 locations)

Ambush! Upon selecting this mission, you will be ambushed by a group of Clockwork.

Enemies

Clockwork

Debriefing

It makes people feel good to see a hero on patrol. In the wake of the Rikti War, a lot of people are still afraid. They need to know that there are heroes watching over them.

Hit the streets and defeat a few of the Clockwork King's minions

Briefing

I've been noticing an increase in Clockwork attacks recently. I think the Clockwork King may have stepped up his robot production. I need you to hit the streets and take out a few of his minions. If I put all my heroes on this case, we may be able to keep the robot population under control.

Mission Acceptance

The Clockwork are a grave threat to our city's safety.

Unnecessary Solicitation

You have not defeated enough Clockwork.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Reduce Clockwork threat
    • Defeat 10 Clockwork

You have reduced the threat posed by the Clockwork.

Ambush! After accepting this mission, there will be an ambush by a group of Clockwork.

Enemies

Clockwork

Debriefing

Thanks for helping with that Clockwork problem. We'll see what kind of impact you made tomorrow night.

Learn about the fallen heroes of Paragon City (1-5)

Briefing

As a new hero, you should know about those who have come before you. I think you need to learn about the fallen heroes of Paragon City. It will be a short history lesson, but an important one.

Mission Acceptance

Go read the plaque under the statue of Atlas. He was a great man, and the city remains thankful to him to this day. Atlas Park is named in his honor, you know.

Unnecessary Solicitation

You should read the plaque under Atlas' statue.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Read Atlas' plaque

You learned some of Paragon City's history.

Inscription

This statue commemorates the heroic death of the mighty Atlas. On December 7th, 1941, the Forces of the original 5th Column launched a surprise attack on Paragon City. Atlas single-handedly fought back a large group of advancing 5th Column soldiers, and prevented them from gaining a foothold beyond Independence Port. His brave sacrifice held the area until the Freedom Phalanx arrived and drove back the invaders.

Debriefing

Atlas was a great man. He protected the city from a devastating surprise attack in 1941 by the 5th Column. Without his sacrifice, who knows how many lives might have been lost? I've noticed many people pause in the shadow of his great statue; it's as if they feel safer there.

Clear out the Clockwork base

Briefing

I've got a good lead on what might be the Clockwork's base of operations in Galaxy City. If we can shut it down completely, we may manage to derail their production for a short time. That means fewer robots, fewer attacks, and a lot less work for you! Will you clear out the Clockwork base? I know you can get the job done.

Mission Acceptance

If you can find out anything about the Clockwork's future plans, I'd appreciate it.

Unnecessary Solicitation

I need you to clear out that base, Character.

Mission Objective(s)

The Clockwork's recent finds include a car door, a broken traffic light, and a cracked refrigerator.

  • Defeat all robots in warehouse
    • Find clues to Clockwork plans

You destroyed the Clockwork base.

Clue
Human remains

You found these human bones in a Clockwork base. Many of the bones are broken, and the skull has been sawed in two.

Enemies

Clockwork

Debriefing

I wonder: could these bones could be the remains of the Clockwork King himself? I guess you've seen those pictures of the King that Maggie Greene published in the Paragon Times. A human brain, housed in a massive robot body. I wonder what could have driven him to such an act!

Rescue the Mensa members from the Clockwork

Briefing

I have an unconfirmed report of Clockwork invading a Mensa meeting. I'll bet the Clockwork King wants to force those intellectuals to help him with his mad designs. Will you rescue the Mensa members from the Clockwork? There's no telling what the King might do to them if they won't cooperate.

Mission Acceptance

According to reports, the Clockwork are being led by an especially strong robot called Ka-Chang. It'll be even more dangerous than the rest.

Unnecessary Solicitation

Those Mensa members are still in grave peril!

Mission Objective(s)

A sign directs Mensa members to a meeting in office 108.

  • Defeat Ka-Chang and its guards
    • 3 Mensa members to rescue

You rescued the Mensa members from the Clockwork.

Clue
Robot parts

You found these advanced robot parts in the offices of Grauman Technologies. It seems that the Clockwork robots were trying to destroy them.

Enemies

Clockwork

Debriefing

So, the Clockwork King wanted the Mensa members to keep him company? He must have thought those intellectuals would be a fitting court for a brilliant engineer such as himself! I guess the King must be pretty lonely, with nobody but robots for company. Actually, I kind of feel sorry for him.

Missions (Level 4+)

Talk to the Security Chief

Talk to the Security Chief

Briefing

I need you to go talk with the Galaxy City Security Chief. He has information about the current situation here in Galaxy City. Your compass will guide you there.

Unnecessary Solicitation

The Security Chief just called again; he really needs your help!

Mission Objective(s)

  • Talk to the Security Chief

Briefing

Here is a briefing sheet on the situation in Galaxy City. Now hit the streets and help out with the Hellions. You might try looking for them in the Equinox or Orion Beltway neighborhoods.

Clue
Galaxy City briefing

Galaxy City is named after the late Galaxy Girl, who fell during the Rikti War. Though she had few super powers and never gained much fame in the world at large, Galaxy Girl was one of Paragon City's favorites. She was a constant presence in the skies since her appearance in the 1950's. She worked tirelessly to improve the lives of her fellow citizens, not just by fighting evil, but also through her charity work. No doubt she would be proud to see a new generation of Heroes battling the Hellions, a street gang bent on claiming Galaxy City for their own.

Keep peace in Galaxy City

Unnecessary Solicitation

You should be fighting Hellions.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Keep peace in Galaxy City
    • Defeat 5 Hellions
