Ignore (Slash Command)
Overview
/ignore and /gignore are features that allow you to restrict a character's (ignore) or player's (gignore) ability to communicate with you.
Ignoring a Character
If you no longer wish to communicate with another character for any reason, you may ignore them. This command will block them from being able to send you any further messages. To ignore a character, type the following command into the chat line:
- /ignore <character name>
This will add the specified character to your ignore list and he or she will remain there until you choose to remove them. To remove a character from your ignore list, enter this command into the chat line:
- /unignore <character name>
This restricts the following:
- Character-to-Character /tells.
- <character name>'s chat in character-level channels, such as team and local.
NOTE: This does not restrict sending character-to-character email nor does it restrict @global-to-@global tells or global chat communication.
Ignoring a Player
If you no longer wish to communicate with another player for any reason, you may gignore them. This command will block them from being able to send you any further global messages. To ignore a player, type the following command into the chat line:
- /gignore <character name> OR
- /gignore <@global name>
This will add the specified character to your ignore list and he or she will remain there until you choose to remove them. To remove a character from your ignore list, enter this command into the chat line:
- /gignore <character name> OR
- /gunignore <@global name>
This restricts the following:
- @Global-to-@Global /tells.
- <@global name>'s chat in global chat.
NOTE: This does not restrict sending character-to-character email nor does it restrict character-to-character /tells or character-level channels (team, etc.).
