Level 10-14

I know a person you should talk to.

There's a gun dealer named Carla Brunelli who would like to meet you. She's a very responsible, proactive woman who's helped a number of heroes in her time. She is deeply troubled by the Clockwork. Their presence in Skyway City means that she can usually be found there.

Carla is tough but fair.

I'd like you to go and talk to my friend Tristan Caine. He's an environmental activist who keeps a close eye on everything that might impact the city's welfare, including criminals. He might have some good tips for you on the Vahzilok. Tristan has a lot of political connections, so he keeps near the city's center in Skyway City.

Have you ever stopped by Sanjay's News? The owner, Sanjay Chandra, is a great guy, real civic minded. He's always looking for ways to help heroes with the Lost and the Skulls. Sanjay's got the scoop over in Skyway City.

Sanjay is one of the most polite people in all of Paragon City.

There's a talented young lawyer named Athena Currie who you should talk to. She's a big community activist and has had some serious run-ins with the Clockwork. Miss Currie practices law in Steel Canyon.

Athena can really use the help of a hero like you.

I know a lawyer, Everett Daniels, who's a pretty good guy. He goes after the big corporations and even the government sometimes, but he's usually on the right side of things. He's always got a lead on the Clockwork. Mr. Daniels' practice is in Skyway City.

Everett will get you into the thick of things.

I suggest you see if Jill Pastor from the FCC has anything for you. She's always looking for heroes to help her out with the Vahzilok. Jill's offices are in Skyway City.

Jill is very serious about catching the bad guys and is willing to give valuable info to any hero who can get the job done.

There's an EPA investigator named Kyle Peck who's known for working well with heroes. I'm sure he'd be happy to help you out as well, and, more importantly, I think you could help him against the Vahzilok. Kyle's connections keep him in Steel Canyon most of the time.

Kyle is fiercely dedicated. As long as you show commitment to helping Paragon City, you will have a strong ally.

You should talk to Haley Philips over at the Health Department. She specializes in identifying and dealing with health threats posed by the Hellions and the Circle of Thorns. She's always looking for more help from the city's heroes. She can be found in Skyway City.

Haley has very strong beliefs about safety.

You might want to go see Hugo Redding, a physician's assistant who specializes in taking care of heroes. He also moonlights as a reporter for a medical website, so he's always hearing interesting tidbits about the Hellions and the Circle of Thorns. Hugo hangs out in Steel Canyon.

Hugo is keyed into the latest medical practices.

There's this kid, Alfonse Rubel, who's a courier. He zips all over the city, delivering important packages and messages. He sees a lot of what's going down with the Lost and the Skulls. Al's route has him in Steel Canyon for the next few days.

Alfonse is almost always on the move. If you catch him at rest, he can help you out.

Dr. Trevor Seaborn expressed an interest in meeting you when I told him about your good work. He's a psychiatrist specializing in criminal behavior, and an expert on the Hellions and the Circle of Thorns. Dr. Seaborn is in Steel Canyon.

Trevor has a brilliant mind, and his insights on criminal behavior are invaluable.

I suggest you meet Wilson Zucco. He's an ex-gang member who's turned his life around, and he knows the Lost and the Skulls better than anyone. He also has a great deal of information on the Vahzilok. Wilson keeps an eye on the Lost from within Steel Canyon.

Wilson is one of the only people in the city who bridges the gap between the law and the streets.

Missing text

I suggest you go speak to Sgt. Suzanne Bernhard in the street crimes division. She's a good person to know, especially when you're dealing with the Tsoo or the Council. Sgt. Bernhard works the desk in Skyway City.

Suzanne always has her eyes on the streets.

I know this guy, his name's Cho Ge. He's a little shady. He even used to be a gangster, but these days he's working for the good guys. He knows everything about the Tsoo and the Council. Cho Ge hangs out in Skyway City nowadays.

As long as you watch your step with Cho Ge, you will benefit from his knowledge.

Detective Karen Parker has a great reputation as a tough but fair-minded cop. If you're respectful and show her you're competent, I'm sure she'll be happy to work with you on the Tsoo and Council. Detective Parker investigates crimes out of the Skyway City precinct.

Detective Parker can be harsh, but only when it's warranted.

FBI Special Agent Warren Trudeau would like to have a word with you. He's particularly eager to work with new heroes like you in combating the Tsoo and the Council. Agent Trudeau is on special assignment to Skyway City.

I think you will find Agent Trudeau to be very helpful.

Information

Confidential Informant

As the cops say about Lorenzo DiCosta, he's got a rap sheet as long as your arm. He's been in and out of jail since he was 13, and he's decided he likes out better than in. He's a small time crook and hustler, but he knows who most of the big players are. They, on the other hand, scarcely notice him, making him the perfect confidential informant. For a few bucks he'll tell a hero anything he wants to know. Or he'll do it in exchange for a favor down the line, say, a get out of jail free card on a minor charge. Lorenzo is pretty personable fellow, and has made friends with a number of different heroes, despite his less than savory line of work.

Souvenir

Skulls bandana

You've kept the bandana of a defeated Skull as a souvenir of your crusade against the gangs of Paragon City. It's an adventure you've come to think of as:

Bonefire

When the Skulls made a move on the Hellions, you were on the scene to keep their battle off the streets. You also found a magical cloak in the Hellions base.

You took the cloak to Azuria, who was relieved to see you. One of the MAGI's employees had been kidnapped, and Azuria sent you to the rescue. When the battle was over, the rescued mystic had a story to tell. She had learned that the Hellions were working with two other gangs: the Outcasts of Steel Canyon and the Warriors of Talos Island. The three gangs were trying to flood the underworld with magical artifacts.

Your work against the gangs of Paragon City kicked up into high gear when you went to speak with Athena Currie about the Skulls. She asked you to break up a Skulls hideout. There you found a ledger which connected the Skulls, the Trolls, and the Family in a Superadine cartel. You took the ledger to Detective Carla Brunelli, a member of Paragon City's gang unit. At her direction, you went after the Skulls' main headquarters, and found yourself in the middle of another brutal gang fight. You defeated all the warring gang members and emerged victorious. However, the ledger had mysteriously disappeared from Carla's office, taking with it any hope of convicting the Family on drug charges.

Stop the gang war

Briefing

Hey there, Character. I heard a bad rumor today. It seems one of the Skull leaders, Marrowsnap, is leading a bunch of his guys into a known Hellion hideout. I'm afraid a conflict like that could spill out onto the streets and endanger the lives of our citizens. We need some hero presence down there to stop that gang war. Will you do it?

Mission Acceptance

Make sure that those two gangs know that their squabbles are being monitored!

Unnecessary Solicitation

I really need you to stop those two warring gangs!

Mission Objective(s)

The door hangs on its hinges. It looks like the Skulls have already made their entrance.

  • Arrest all gang members, Look for clues
    • Seek cause of gang war

You defeated the villains and found a mysterious cloak.

You have recovered the Cloak of Cold Comfort.

Clue
Robe of Cold Comfort

This mystical robe was crafted by the enchantress Yanamahri. It carries her unique mystical signature.

Notes

  • The name of the cloak varies. Possible names include Robe of Cold Comfort and Cloak of Bitter Grace.
  • The name of the enchantress who crafted the cloak varies. Possible names include Atsegine and Yanamahri.

Enemies

Hellions
Skulls

Notable NPCs

Debriefing

This cloak clearly has some sort of mystical power. I wonder what the Hellions wanted with it.

It sounds like my suspicions were correct. The Skulls are looking to increase their turf. This could get bad.

Take the cloak to Azuria

Briefing

I'd like you to take that strange cloak you found to Azuria at MAGI. She may be able to tell us why the Skulls and Hellions were willing to go to battle over it.

Mission Acceptance

The Skulls might make a second attempt to get the cloak, so look out.

Ambush! Upon acceptance of the mission, there will be an ambush by Skulls.

Take the cloak to Azuria

Unnecessary Solicitation

You told me you were going to deliver that cloak to the MAGI Office.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Take the cloak to Azuria

Briefing

Oh, Character, it's you! We need your help desperately! One of our enchantresses, Yanamahri, has been kidnapped by the Hellions! She's being held in an abandoned office in Kings Row. Will you please rescue her? While you're doing that, I'll examine this cloak you brought me.

You had better take this extra emergency teleporter, in case Yanamahri needs it.

Defeat gang leader and guards

Unnecessary Solicitation

Azuria asked you to rescue someone? Well, what are you waiting for? Get to it!

Mission Objective(s)

It's cold in here; the building hasn't been heated since it went out of business years ago.

  • Defeat gang leader and guards
    • Find missing mystic

You have rescued Yanamahri.

Clue
Yanamahri's story

When you rescued Yanamahri', she told you:

'Thank you so much. You can't imagine the threats they made! I did discover some interesting things. It seems that these Hellions are doing the bidding of another group. They, and another gang called the Outcasts, are working for the Warriors of Talos Island. For some reason, the Warriors want to flood Paragon City with minor magical items. I don't know what they are about, but it can't mean anything good for the city.'

Notes

  • The name of the enchantress varies. Possible names include Atsegine and Yanamahri.

Enemies

Hellions

Notable NPCs

Debriefing

Good job on getting Yanamahri out of there. You know, she crafted the Robe of Cold Comfort you recovered from the Hellions earlier. I wonder if they found her by tracing the mystical energy she transferred to that cloak?

The Hellions seem to be gearing up for a fight. They even went so far as to kidnap a MAGI mystic to tip the scales in their favor! Well, at least we have a good idea where they are getting their backing from now. Their connection to the Warriors' artifact trade is a secret worth knowing.

Take the message to Athena Currie

Briefing

You did a great job freeing Yanamahri from the Hellions, but it looks like our gang problems are just beginning. The Skulls are moving into Kings Row in force, and we need to step up the presence there. Will you take this message to my friend Athena Currie? She has friends on the police force; she should be able to get the extra people we need.

Mission Acceptance

Be sure to tell her to ask for some extra cops in Kings Row.

Ambush! There will be an ambush by the Skulls upon accepting this mission.

Talk to Athena Currie

Unnecessary Solicitation

Athena Currie is waiting for you.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Talk to Athena Currie

Briefing

If Lorenzo DiCosta thinks it's important, I'll ask for some extra cops on patrol in Kings Row. I've been worried about the situation there as well. In fact, one of my informants gave me a tip on some Skull activity over in the old Hyperion Building. I'd like you to check it out for me. See if you can find out what they're up to over there.

Defeat Skull leader and guards

Unnecessary Solicitation

Athena Currie wanted you to check out the old Hyperion Building, so get to it.

Mission Objective(s)

It looks like Athena's source was right. This is definitely a hideout for the Skulls.

  • Defeat Skull leader and guards
    • Find evidence of Skull plan

You have defeated the Skulls and recovered some evidence.

You found a ledger!

Clue
Business ledger

This ledger contains records on drug manufacturing and sales. It belongs to a large group called the Superadine Connection, which includes the Skulls and the Skyway City Trolls. The group is presided over by the Family, a powerful gang from Independence Port.

Enemies

Skulls

Notable NPCs

Debriefing

Wow, this ledger you found is great! Looks like the Skulls' entire drug operation is summed up in here, along with their connections to the Trolls and the Family. Now, that's what I call juicy info! I am sure the police will love this.

It's starting to look like the Skulls and Hellions are coming together for a big clash of the pawns, Character.

Take the ledger to Carla Brunelli

Briefing

Carla Brunelli wants to see that ledger you took from the Skulls. She's on the gang task force here in Paragon City, and she's the best person to handle all this new info about the Skulls' Superadine connections. Do me a favor and take that ledger to Carla Brunelli.

Mission Acceptance

Do whatever Carla asks of you, all right?

Take ledger to Carla Brunelli

Unnecessary Solicitation

You need to get that ledger to Carla!

Mission Objective(s)

  • Take ledger to Carla Brunelli

Briefing

Wow, this ledger is everything Lorenzo DiCosta described and more! It seems that the Family has been supplying the Skulls with Superadine, and the Skulls are then selling it to the Trolls, keeping the Family's nose clean. Lining up for the opposition, we've got the Hellions, the Outcasts, and the Warriors. It looks like the Warriors have a huge artifact trade going, and the Hellions and Outcasts are in on that action.

I need you to get to Perez Park and start putting the hurt on both the Hellions and the Skulls. Hopefully you can get info on one of their headquarters. Then we can put a big dent in their organizations.

Locate gang headquarters

Unnecessary Solicitation

Carla wanted you to start putting the hurt on both the Hellions and the Skulls in Perez Park.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Locate gang headquarters
    • Defeat 20 Hellions and 20 Skulls

One of the defeated thugs gave up the location of the Skulls' main base.

Defeat all gang members

Unnecessary Solicitation

One of the Skulls rolled over? Excellent! Now that we know the location of their headquarters, you can show them who has the power in Paragon City!

Mission Objective(s)

These cave walls resound with the sounds of gunfire and flame.

  • Defeat all gang members

You took down the Skulls' base.

Enemies

Hellions
Skulls

Notable NPCs

Debriefing

You performed great in there, Character. The city and its people owe you a debt of gratitude! I don't know if you heard, but that ledger was stolen from Carla. It's a darn shame; the drug connections it described would have let us put away several ranking members of the Skulls, Trolls, and Family!

You saved a MAGI mystic, took down those warring gang members, and greatly expanded our knowledge of how the gangs in Paragon City operate. Character, nothing can diminish what you accomplished here. This was your greatest victory to date!

Hit the streets and defeat a few Council troops

Briefing

There has been a marked increase in Council activity since they ramped up their recruiting. Can you hit the streets and defeat a few Council troops? Those thugs need a wake-up call. Steel Canyon is particularly overrun, though I'm sure any zone in the city would welcome your assistance.

Mission Acceptance

The techs at DATA were wondering if you could test out these Cryoprojection Bracers for a short while.

These Cryoprojection Bracers will shoot a beam of ice at the target. Let us know how they work out.

Power

You haven't dealt with enough Council troops yet.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Slow spread of Council
    • Defeat 10 Council

You have slowed the spread of Council.
