Overview
Morality Missions are obtained by accepting a Morality Tip, obtained after completing 10 Alignment Missions for a particular alignment. Completing a Morality Mission allows a character to either change or reaffirm their alignment, and awards 40 Reward Merits.
Alignment Changes
When a character wishes to change alignments, they must be in an appropriate zone. For instance, a vigilante wishing to become a villain must be completing a villain Morality Mission in the Rogue Isles.
Hero
Heroes can only access Paragon City zones, PvP zones, and cooperative zones. Only heroes can access Fort Trident, regardless of whether or not they have completed a Hero Morality Mission.
- A hero doing a vigilante Morality Mission will become a vigilante.
- A hero doing a hero Morality Mission will reaffirm his or her alignment choice as hero, and can begin accruing time toward the hero alignment power, Call to Justice.
Villain
Villains can only access Rogue Isles zones, PvP zones, and cooperative zones. Only villains can access The Crucible, regardless of whether or not they have completed a Villain Morality Mission.
- A villain doing a rogue Morality Mission will become a rogue.
- A villain doing a villain Morality Mission will reaffirm his or her alignment choice as villain, and can begin accruing time toward the villain alignment power, Frenzy.
Vigilante
Vigilantes have full access of all hero and villain zones, PvP zones, and cooperative zones. They cannot access either of the special True Alignment lounges.
- A vigilante doing a villain Morality Mission will become a villain.
- A vigilante doing a hero Morality Mission will become a hero.
- A vigilante doing a vigilante Morality Mission will reaffirm his or her alignment choice as a vigilante, and can begin accruing time toward the vigilante alignment power, Fear Incarnate.
- Vigilantes cannot obtain alignment merits or access either of the special True Alignment lounges.
Rogue
Rogues have full access of all hero and villain zones, PvP zones, and cooperative zones. They cannot access either of the special True Alignment lounges.
- A rogue doing a hero Morality Mission will become a hero.
- A rogue doing a villain Morality Mission will become a villain.
- A rogue doing a rogue Morality Mission will reaffirm his or her alignment choice as a rogue, and can begin accruing time toward the rogue alignment power, Duplicity.
- Rogues cannot obtain alignment merits or access either of the special True Alignment lounges.
Badges
Completing a Morality Mission
The following badge is awarded for completing a character's first Morality Mission, regardless of alignment:
- Heroes
Your morality has been demonstrated to all, at least for today. You completed a Morality Mission to earn this badge.
- Villains
You strove for what you believe in and, against all odds, came out on top.
The following badges are for completing the first Morality Mission for each alignment:
You've proven time and time again that Paragon City can rely on you. You have completed a Hero Morality Mission earning yourself this badge.
You are the law, you dispense your own kind of justice for the greater good. You have completed a Vigilante Morality Mission earning yourself this badge.
You take consideration of all the angles and know when making deals instead of wreaking blind havoc puts you farther ahead. You have completed a Rogue Morality Mission earning yourself this badge.
The mere mention of your name causes those that hear it to shiver in fear. You have completed a Villain Morality Mission earning yourself this badge.
Alignment Reaffirmation
The following badges are for maintaining a character's alignment for seven days after completing the appropriate Morality Mission:
You completed a Hero Morality Mission and then maintained your Hero alignment for 7 days earning yourself this badge.
You completed a Vigilante Morality Mission and then maintained your Vigilante alignment for 7 days earning yourself this badge.
You completed a Rogue Morality Mission and then maintained your Rogue alignment for 7 days earning yourself this badge.
You completed a Villain Morality Mission and then maintained your Villain alignment for 7 days earning yourself this badge.
