Overview

There are several costume pieces that can be unlocked. Below is a list and requirements for obtaining items that are not unlocked by Veteran Rewards or Inventions.

Found in Mystery Gifts or purchased with Candy Cane Salvage during Winter Events.

  • Individual character.

Victory Laurel

During the Valentine's Day Event 2006, if a new player used an active player's special buddy code, both the active player and new player unlocked these along with Hellenic Sandals.

  • All characters.

Subsequent Valentine's Events, it is a reward option from DJ Zero's missions.

  • Individual character.

Note: The Laurel Leaves are not color tintable. They are always gold. The Hair can be colored.

There were several special helmets available for those that had a City of Villains Pre-Order code. The helmets varied by which store you purchased your pre-order from. The helmets are also awarded through the Paragon Rewards Program.

Wisp Incentive Aura

On March 3rd 2011, NCsoft announced that they would discontinue the support for the old CoHUpdater application and ancouraged players to upgrade to the new NCsoft Launcher. Users who upgraded and logged in via the NCsoft Launcher were granted the new Wisp Incentive aura upon login. This aura will be available until the server maintenance on August 4, 2011 [1].

Weapon Customization is a system that was released as part of Issue 11 where players can select the look of drawn weapons for those power sets that use drawn weapons, including Ancillary Power Pools and Patron Power Pools, but not including regular Power Pools. Weapon Customization is essentially a costume option that is only available to certain power sets. Changing your weapon model in no way changes the effects of the powers that use them.

A character can have a customized shield and weapon at the same time.

Shield Customization uses the same system as Weapon Customization, above, except for the Shield costume piece. Shield Customization was released as part of Issue 13 as a supplement to the Shield Defense power set.

A character can have a customized shield and weapon at the same time.
