Halloween Giant Monsters

There will be a spawn of either Eochai or Jack in Irons in every zone in which the event is active. Once one is defeated, another of the two will spawn in the same zone within a minute or two. According to the Issue 25 patch notes, in low-level zones, the chance of Jack in Irons spawning instead of Eochai is 1 in 9. In high-level zones, the chance of Jack in Irons spawning is 1 in 3.

Faultline did not have any Giant Monster spawns during the 2007 event. The zone gained spawns during the 2008 event.

The Halloween GMs show up with small pumpkins marking their spawn site. This is the easiest way to tell a Halloween GM from a normal zone GM. Particle Physics in options must be set to at least Low to see the pumpkin patch.

Unseelie Court

The Unseelie Court was a new enemy group added for the 2006 event. They accompany the random zone spawns of Halloween Eochai and Jack in Irons.

Badges

Pumpkin-marked Eochai

These badges are awarded for defeating Halloween Giant Monsters and their attendant minions.

Badge

You have helped defeat a manifestation of Eochai, king of the Fir Bolg.

Badge

You have defeated the Halloween Jack in Irons.

Badge

You have defeated 20 of the Unseelie Court.

NOTE: The normal Croatoa Eochai and Jack in Irons still spawn during the Halloween Event and do not count toward their Halloween badges. They still reward their year round badges, Pumpkin King and Giant Killer.

Make sure you are fighting a GM within the pumpkin patch. If there are no pumpkins marking the spawn site, it is the zone GM and not the Halloween GM. Particle Physics in options must be set to at least Low to see the pumpkin patch.

Maps of Halloween Giant Monster Spawn Sites

In most cases, each zone contains ten potential GM spawn sites. The exceptions are Kallisti Wharf with seven spawn sites, Neutropolis and Atlas Park with eight, and Warburg with nine.

As many Halloween giant monster spawn sites as possible have been documented. However, if you have the /loc for a spawn site not shown in these images, or find that one of the indicated spawn sites is in error, please let us know.
