Overview

Longbow Mission Briefings is a tip contact that offers Tour Guide Missions in Nerva Archipelago.

Introduction

Nerva Navigator

Exploration Mission

There is no end to the list of names and organizations that would love to see Longbow gone from the Rogue Isles. This sentiment makes these "liberated" documents quite valuable to the right person.

While it is unlikely to challenge their massive Agincourt stronghold, putting their intel to work for you by expanding your own knowledge will certainly pay off.

  • Exploit Longbow's intel on Nerva Archipelago.
  • Wait for the right opportunity.

Too Busy

As lucrative as using Longbow's intel against them sounds, you think it best to look to manage your other tasks first.

No More Missions

Setting the briefing down, you gaze toward the fortress of Agincourt. It may not fall today, but if Longbow continues to be sloppy with their intel, it is only a matter of time.

Missions

Watcher on the Knoll

Briefing

Longbow Briefing #NA0-93.85.5434:
Since the failed attempt on Ms. Liberty's life, we have made a comprehensive effort to expand and refine our security efforts surrounding the block that contains the Vindicator headquarters. Since that time, we have observed no incidents, and any villains who have breached the perimeter are immediately met with force.

Now this is a good find! Speculation abounds that the 'Vindicators' have been operating out of Nerva Archipelago, this being reinforced by Longbow's huge growth in local presence. To actually have intelligence on their base's location would prove invaluable. This is one report you will need to verify with your own eyes.

  • Become the Watcher on the Knoll.

The Vindicators stand at the head of Longbow's vanguard, an elite group of veteran heroes who have long since left the role of sidekick behind and are now all fully capable, and extremely dangerous combatants.

They are one of the most powerful hero groups operating right now, and it would be a death wish to underestimate them.

Mission Objective

  • Scope out Vindicator base

A failed assassination on Ms. Liberty was made from the top of this pillar.

Locked and Loaded

Briefing

Longbow Briefing #NA3286.126.3645:
Our quartermasters have confirmed our shipments have arrived at the depot and there should be no delays in properly equipping our personnel. We have begun training in handling the latest in anti-meta human weaponry and tech. Whatever the threat, our brave men and women will be ready to face it.

Longbow definitely have a leg up in the arms race versus any villain organization that is not Arachnos themselves. Funded by countless wealthy benefactors and backed by some of the leading minds in equipment R&D, even a Longbow trainee can be a serious threat armed with these weapons. Infiltrating Agincourt may prove difficult, but having a read on Longbow's current loadout is worth that risk.

  • Get Locked and Loaded.

Longbow's standard infantry are all equipped with state-of-the-art conventional weaponry. Their officers and nullifier specialists in particular have weapons to bring down even the mightiest villain.

Now if only you could uncover whatever sci-fi nonsense is employed to manufacture those bullet-proof spandex uniforms...

Mission Objective

  • Infiltrate Agincourt weapons depot

Nerva Wreck

Briefing

Longbow Briefing #NA1388.10.2876:
Our spec-ops agents continue to monitor the suspicious shipwreck located on the coastal edge of the Primeva region. Our ongoing research has not yet yielded any clues as to the vessel's identity or the fate that befell it. Despite a plethora of confirmed villains operating in the area, none of them have approached the wreck. We will update command if the situation changes.

While your guess is as good as Longbow's in regard to the ship's fate, you are intrigued by the absence of activity. Perhaps nobody has plundered the treasure that could potentially be aboard. You have always wanted to lay on a bed of pirate gold.

  • Plunder the Nerva Wreck.

Perhaps you are being too hasty... What if this ends up being one of those fabled pirate treasures that carries with it a nasty curse? You have a whole future ahead of you; now would be a bad time to be eternally bound to some ancient doom.

You will have to settle for "look but don't touch".

Mission Objective

  • Survey the Primeva shipwreck

You have visited the famous Nerva Wreck. What strange creature might have caused this disaster?

Primal Instinct

Briefing

Longbow Briefing #NA2304.0-110.798:
Our scouts have verified the presence of significant ancient ruins confirmed to be arcane in origin found deep within the Primeva region. Unfortunately, the researchers we sent out to investigate were met by heavy Circle of Thorns hostiles in the area. Agincourt is unable to spare the personnel for a security detail, so progress on this expedition has been postponed at this time.

Where the Circle of Thorns gathers, there are bound to be mystic points of interest. Longbow could not spare the men to undertake an expedition of any merit, but you are not bound by such limitations. It should be easy for you to make your way into the heart of the Primeva ruins.

  • Follow your Primal Instinct.

The concentration of Oranbegan arcanists and their demonic overlords in this area does not come as a surprise. You are aware that the island to the northeast of Primeva houses one of the Circle of Thorns' greatest strongholds.

This place must be rife with arcane potency to have the Circle mages so entrenched within Nerva Archipelago.

Mission Objective

  • Locate ancient Primeva ruins

This is the spot of many battles between the Circle of Thorns and their age-old enemy, the Mu.

Tree Hugger

Briefing

Longbow Briefing #NA0-165.12.0-180:
Our investigative efforts aimed at uncovering the secrets behind the unnatural tree located on Thorn Isle have not yielded any worthwhile results. Our men are unable to cover much ground before they find themselves overwhelmed by the Circle of Thorns' hostile occupation.

Longbow are going about things the wrong way, but "taking the castle by storm" is their go-to, so it is hardly a surprise. The more tactical approach would be to infiltrate as a lone agent and strike towards the Thorn Tree before the mages can react....

  • Brave danger and be a Tree Hugger.

You have heard rumors that Arachnos have bound the service of demons that are willing to bargain with those who would challenge the Circle of Thorns. These infernal beings offer guidance on how one might claim the power of the Thorn Tree and use it to reform themselves.

A lucrative prize to be sure, perhaps you will find time later to explore the prospects of such a venture.

Mission Objective

  • Examine Thorn Isle's tree

Unethical Tourist

Briefing

Longbow Briefing #NA0-644.16.6712:
Our Crimson Cove agents have compiled a list of the various subjects Crey Industries has 'collected' and are holding within their compound. Worse than that, we've also confirmed that Crey appears to be 'entertaining' civilians by way of exhibiting said subjects. Any of these 'tourists' we were able to ID have had their names added to the criminal registry.

This report comes as no surprise. Crey had to be collecting experimental specimens from somewhere to use in their projects and this kind of practice would not go unnoticed in Paragon City. All the same, you have to admit to being curious as to what kind of collection Crey has assembled. A peek probably won't hurt.

  • Experience being an Unethical Tourist.

Tempting as it is to unleash pandemonium via releasing these subjects inside this heavily-armed Crey Industries compound, it would likely not provide any immediate benefit to you.

If there is to be action taken later, you will ensure a plan is in place to capitalize on the chaos it would create.

Mission Objective

  • Take tour of Crey subjects

Crey Corporation has been known to invite tourist groups to see the experiments caged in these pens. They justify their actions by claiming the research is to better understand the various subjects contained here.

Blind Eye

Briefing

Longbow Briefing #NA3526.141.3886:
The containment block continues to operate at maximum capacity, with all security systems online and fully functional. The subjects held within are valuable and we aim to treat them as humanely as we are able. Our research director offers his gratitude to Agincourt command for their continued lenience on policies that would otherwise inhibit progress.

As expected, activities normally painted with streaks of black suddenly take on hues of gray when there is a 'benevolent' hand guiding the brush. Duplicity like this is hardly uncommon within Longbow; the darker shades just often find themselves obscured behind their white and red. You have to ask the question: what manner of experiments are happening within Agincourt that make Longbow different from Crey?

  • Poke at the Blind Eye.

You are quite sure that, if questioned, Longbow would assert that the research being conducted is dedicated to curing diseases or solving world hunger. However, you know they are always desperately chasing Arachnos in an endless arms race.

Neither group can afford to fall behind, so inevitably, ethics are the first thing to be scaled back. Sacrifices have to be made to ensure that competitive progress is maintained.

Mission Objective

  • Infiltrate Agincourt containment block

Longbow uses these state-of-the-art facilities to perform experiments on a small group of monsters they encounter. Longbow policy dictates that they turn their charges in to the proper authorities back in Paragon, but Agincourt officials routinely turn a blind eye to this facility's activities.

Soother

Briefing

Longbow Briefing #NA1236.81.1396:
Our intelligence reported confirmed sightings of maximum threat level targets Scirocco and Black Scorpion near the waterfall cliffsides in the Primeva region. Despite immediate deployment of spec-ops agents to investigate, they were unable to find any signs of either Arachnos lieutenant in the area. Surveillance will continue.

Not one, but two Arachnos patrons seen in the same area and then vanished just as suddenly? Undoubtedly, there is something near those waterfalls worth searching for. Longbow was not thorough enough in their search, but you will be.

  • Uncover hidden secrets.

It would be clichéd, but perhaps there is a secret hideaway behind one of the waterfalls? While the idea of getting completely soaked just to check does not thrill you, the idea of missing out on an Arachnos patron's secret is even less acceptable.

You assume the water is going to be just as cold as it looks...

Mission Objective

  • Discover the waterfall's secret

The area behind this waterfall is said to be a secret spot where Scirocco goes to meditate during periods of stress. Marks on the wall indicate a major brawl between Scirocco and Black Scorpion (most likely due to Black Scorpion making fun of Scirocco for meditating).
