Talk:Galaxy City
Rhetorical question (mostly):
What will happen to the content and badges in Galaxy City, Breakout and Outbreak when Issue 21 is published?

- They will probably become historical articles, similar to the one for Rikti Crash Site. --Eabrace 22:52, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
- The whole lowbie experience is being rewritten for I21. The badges are assumed to be either a) available through the "Echo of Galaxy City" (for exploration badges) or b) moved/incorporated elsewhere. Content is likely to be completely rewritten, which means moving Galaxy City as it stands to Old Galaxy City (ala Old Hamidon Raid) and implementing the new details. Contact stuff is unknown whether it will still be available via flashback (previous precedence has been set toward availability instead of removal, but no guarantee). ~ User:Aggelakis/Sig1 05:11, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
My suggestion would be to move the current article to "Galaxy City (Pre-Issue 21)" as was done for Faultline. It could then be copied to "Echo: Galaxy City" for the revamp, which leaves "Galaxy City" open to be redone as the new tutorial version. -- Blondeshell 03:45, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
Okay, started on the tutorial, still gathering content. In progress! I'll do it as the sequence unfolds, in stages. it's a directive tutorial, so the flow of the page has to match the platyer experience. I've categorized the NPCs and so on. Noting Daniels may be dead (he is cut off) at the end of the hero tute. Taosin 09:20, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
Officer Daniels
During Issue 21 open beta, it was possible to break out of the normal zone confines by using the rocket board. Upon doing this, it was discovered that there was actually an NPC model for Officer Daniels perched on top of the building just to the south of where you enter the zone. It's unknown if he is still there since all forms of vertical movement have now been disabled in the tutorial.
Pics or it didn't happen! -- Blondeshell 02:07, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
- I saw dude in a demo edit while I was investigating Galaxy City. He was probably going to be a starting contact before they reworked the tutorial to be automated. --GuyPerfect 02:09, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
- For anyone that wants to reach this area on Homecoming, it can currently be done on the Beta server by using the Freebies Menu to level up a character in the tutorial that has a powerset movement power, such as Kinetics - Inertial Reduction, Martial Combat - Burst of Speed or Electrical Melee - Lightning Rod and using this power to get around the invisible walls in the area and scale the destroyed buildings. --Aberrant (talk) 11:18, 18 June 2020 (UTC)
Hero Trainer
A ha! I knew it was different. As a villain, the defeated version is "defeated longbow cataphract", but I knew it was something else, since that didn't seem the same as when I ran it hero side. Don't think there's anything relevant to the article here, just saying. It's also vaguely interesting. Felderburg 02:59, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
Knowledgeable Badge
I've only had to purchase the badge the first time I did the tutorial. Is it global? If so, should this article reflect that? Felderburg 18:51, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, it is a global badge. Once you purchase it (regardless if it was in the tutorial or on another character), you'll never see it discussed in the tutorial again. Which means that the only way to get Ghost Widow's dialogue about it is to start a villain character on a new account... -- Blondeshell 22:01, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
Scientist / Dr. Weber Contact
Doctor Weber in game displays as "Scientist" in the Arachnos safe zone. However, putting "Scientist" as the contact for his dialog on this page makes his under-picture link go to a Bloody Bay scientist instead. I can't see how to make this link go to Weber instead of the BB scientist. Felderburg 17:22, 25 June 2013 (UTC)
