Talk:Lusca
Doesn't Lusca now spawn in more northern areas? Seems like I read that (s)he does with I7. - Snorii 05:34, 6 December 2006 (PST)
- Definitely not I7, but while I8 was on test, I remember reading that she now had more spawn points, including some further north than the old ones. - Sister Leortha 06:10, 6 December 2006 (PST)
- I had just assumed that they had moved them about. The only one I've seen so far is just south of the Striga Entrance, near the Authority Plaque. User:StarGeek/sig 12:50, 6 December 2006 (PST)
- Yes, she definitely spawns in the north end of IP now. Locations can be found on the VidiotMaps entry. -- Blondeshell 22:00, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
URBAN LEGEND
About a month ago, or less, as I was standing around in IP while teams weer forming to attack Lusca some one in braodcast said that "SUPPOSEDLY" a solo 50 level with numerous Shivan, a Heavy from RWZ, A few Amy, Warwolves LORD knows what all else took on and defeated Lusca. Okay while I suppose anything is possible and according to our story teller this individual battled the GM for somewhere between 5 and 6 hours to accomplish his feat but I had to chuckle as I read that. I have taken on ever GM in this game, most more times than I can recall at this point, simply because I love a good GM battle... But LUSCA IMO is by far the toughest. I've taken out Babbage on a 5 man team consisting of 4 Defenders/Controller and 1 Tank. Knocked off Adamastor on a 4 man team of 3 Defenders/Controller and 1 Warshade playing Tanker (that would be me). Defeated Kraken on numerous teams of less than 6 players. Jurassik is tough but with a good rad/rad I have seen him fall to a single 7 man team. Eochia and Jack ... together or solo I have seen countless 8 man teams easily defeat and the Kronos Titan can usually be handled with 8 or less. LUSCA is like attacking 9 Giant Monsters at once and all of them are more than happy to crush you if you get even the slightest bit out of position. The best I have ever seen was 2 teams, one not quite filled (6 to start with and 7 by the time we finished) take her down with only a few deaths along the way. LOL and come on ... who is THAT crazy? Just for bragging rights you spent an entire evening using up every Temp Pet you owned to take out a GM solo? Last I checked you got the badge even if you were one of 24 heroes on 3 teams pounding on her and I've been involved with 3 team attacks that gave up without ever beating that giant squid... and left hundreds of thousands in debt Taxibot Sara2.0 17:14, 11 August 2008 (UTC)Taxibot Sara2.0
- I have soloed Lusca; no temporary powers needed. Illusion/Empathy/Mace Controller, with Musculature Alpha, Reactive Interface, Pyronic Judgement, Barrier Destiny, Warworks Lore; all slots Very Rare. I take down 2 tentacles in the 5 minutes that the Vicki and ACU are up; then wait for them to recharge. Because the Incarnate pets are on a 15 minute recharge, it takes 50 minutes to defeat her; 3 recharges to bring down 6 tentacles, and a final cast for the head.
- In this screenshot you can see a team of 4 defeating Lusca with no problem. I started soloing her, but then a blaster showed up while I was killing the third tentacle, and then I invited two others so the blaster wouldn't have to wait for my pets to recharge. -- Leandro 03:09, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
Head can be defeated while 2 tentacles are still up.
Proof. While 8 to 3 tentacles are up, attacking the head will say "UNAFFECTED"; with 2 tentacles up, the head can take damage and be defeated. -- Leandro 03:09, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
