Template:Vote close top/doc

This is a documentation subpage for Template:Vote close top (see that page for the template itself).
It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

Usage

The templates {{vote close top}} and {{vote close bottom}} are used to bracket off a closed vote for archival purposes, to discourage modification after the vote is complete. The top is generally placed before the heading element and the bottom is generally placed at the bottom of the discussion.

So for example, if this is the discussion:
