The articles in this category mention bugs in the game. They are usually tagged with {{bug}}.
Bug List
Anything tracked by {{Bug}} will show up below. If nothing is listed below, then nothing is currently being tracked.
Content page | Note |
---|---|
Acantha | Acantha seems to fade in and out of appearing on the map. (This bug may because she is on the static NPC timer instead of registering as a contact.) If players cannot find her at her location, they should move outside of drawing distance and then return (repeat a few times if necessary). |
Alignment | Assisting in completing another character's Morality Mission before obtaining ten Alignment Points will empty out a character's Alignment Points and force them to start over at zero. |
Alignment Mission | Completing a Morality Mission before obtaining ten Alignment Points will empty out a character's Alignment Points and force them to start over at zero, while not resetting the daily Public Fame count, effectively postponing a character's alignment change or affirmation by however many points were lost. |
Anton Sampson | |
Arachnos Agent Badge | The hero/vigilante description for this badge displays, regardless of alignment. |
Arachnos Disguise | The Arachnos costume applied to the character depends on the body type of your first costume, not your current costume. |
Architect XXV Badge | Characters who were granted account-level Architect badges in Issue 15 will not have received the corresponding progress for this badge. Contacting customer service may be required to earn it. |
Architect X Badge | Characters who were granted account-level Architect badges in Issue 15 will not have received the corresponding progress for this badge. Contacting customer service may be required to earn it. |
Battle Terminal | Testing during September, 2011, revealed that the Swiss Draw game type was not properly advancing winners of the single elimination phase. The players who advanced to the second round were always in slots 2, 3, 4, and 5 on the team window, regardless of who actually won the round. The players who advanced to the third and final round were always in slots 2 and 3 on the team window, again, regardless of who actually won. The winner of the third round would get the badge as expected. |
Black Scorpion | If you fail to escort Dr. Aeon to the door this will result in having to restart the entire arc over again. |
Chimera | |
City of Villains Pre-Order | *Applying the Blood Widow Helm code would sometimes also grant the account access to the Wolf Spider Helmet
|
Crystal Ward | In some cases, Advanced Forge workshop tables that have been placed after Issue 13 went live will not display this item as available for crafting; however, if the table was originally placed before I-13, the item will display correctly and can be crafted. Re-adding the workshop table may clear the bug and display the item again, although it may take a couple of tries. |
Detective McLord | |
Detective Selnum | |
Disgraced Deputy Badge | This may only affect the Peregrine Island safeguard, but currently when the hostage holders are aggroed, some of them just vanish. This makes it nearly impossible to actually free the hostages. |
Diviner Maros | For some reason, Legacy Chain will be antagonistic to each other throughout the mission. |
Doc Delilah (Ally) | This time she's far stronger against the Lethal and Smashing damage of the Sky Raiders, though she still tends to simply stand still in front of enemies, staring at the infinite instead of beating them, most likely waiting for one of her toggles to recycle. Knocking back the enemy she was fighting seems to awaken her somehow and she will attack again for a while, but this problem keeps happening once and again during my whole mission. There appears to be a bug with the mission, where if you enter the lifts, she will disappear completely from the mission. As Doc Delilah appears to have Super Jump, one method of getting around this is to get to the top without using the lifts, and let her jump up after you. |
Drowning in Blood | Only the redside version of Drowning in Blood awards reward merits. |
Eden Trial | Gale, Quill, Slate, and Tundra, after being rescued, will not follow the other Heroes due to some unknown bug. However, if enemies are led to them, they will still engage in combat. |
Emotes | The apostrophe key, which is the default key for popping up the quickchat menu is currently broken and won't work for any binds. A player can reassign a different key for the quickchat menu in the Keymapping Tab of the Options Window, or use one of these: /bind <key> "popmenu quickchat" or /bind <key> "quickchat" |
Empowerment Station | As of 2011-11-15, if a character is defeated, the power will persist but stop functioning after resurrection (regardless of resurrection source: self-rez, team rez, inspiration, or hospital trip). |
Father Time | Accepting a reward when exemplared will cause the reward to fail. |
Father Time | Accepting a temporary power as a reward if previously awarded (even in a previous year's event) will cause the reward to fail. The temporary powers can be reacquired with Candy Cane Salvage. |
Energy Mastery (Mastermind) | Slotting Endurance Modification into Force of Nature currently has no effect on the power. |
Force Mastery | Slotting Endurance Modification into Force of Nature currently has no effect on the power. |
Galaxy City | Dead Arachnos Operative does not always show up when Galaxy City is loaded, requiring back-tracking from later in the zone. Also, refers to 'Burnout', but probably means Cinderburn. |
Generator Energy Curtain | In some cases, Advanced Worktable workshop tables that have been placed after Issue 13 went live will not display this item as available for crafting; however, if the table was originally placed before I-13, the item will display correctly and can be crafted. Re-adding the workshop table may clear the bug and display the item again, although it may take a couple of tries. |
Ghost Widow | The enemies guarding the two Night Widows can sometimes spawn as Circle of Thorns. If this happens, they will be attacked by any surrounding Longbow not part of the guarding group. |
Goto tray (Slash Command) | Putting /goto_tray at the beginning or in the middle of a macro makes the macro malfunction. Everything after /goto_tray disappears upon zoning or log-out if it is used in a macro. Therefore, it needs to be at the end of the macro. |
Halloween Event 2010 | Trick or Treating while sidekicked will result in the sidekicked character not obtaining any Costume Powers. This is a Known Issue, and may or may not be fixed by the end of the event on October 31, 2010. |
Hardcase | Trey Belcleff does not currently spawn within the mission. However, by defeating Blahpunk and his guards, the mission will still be completed. |
Hardcase | If you fail this mission, the half-completed souvenir will remain in your clues tab and will not be moved over to the souvenir tab. Ensure that you defeat Devereaux even if the Warding Statue is destroyed or not to prevent this. |
Issue 18 | This opacity setting never worked throughout all of Beta. The contact dialog window is transparent and remains transparent regardless of any settings. |
Jenny Firkins | |
Loading Screen Tips | Currently does not function. You cannot turn off tips. |
Lou Pasterelli | |
Loves a Challenge Badge | If any member of the League is in the "defeated" state when the final part of the Trial begins, the Badge will not be awarded regardless of whether or not Anti-Matter defeats anyone. |
Magisterium Trial | There is a good chance that a second Tyrant (affectionally known as "Lil' Tyrant") spawns as a level 54 Archvillain at the start of the trial right next to the Emperor Cole statue. It is not guaranteed, but likely. You can defeat him for extra XP, INF, and salvage. Note that he disappears after the cutscene between phases 3 and 4 if he is not defeated beforehand. |
Magus Mu'Drakhan | Missing Clue. A glowie appears in this mission and can be clicked on to inform the player "You found something interesting in one of the tomes". However, no Clue is generated. |
Maria Jenkins | This mission is the older Badge mission and is still given out by Maria Jenkins (possibly an oversight). The current and correct (in terms of briefing, story and content) badge mission is shown above as Defeat Marauder and destroy the portal. |
Miscellaneous Merit Rewards | Castle confirmed that the Arachnos Flier should not be giving merits in the Ms. Liberty Task Force. |
Morality Mission | Completing a Morality Mission before obtaining ten Alignment Points will empty out a character's Alignment Points and force them to start over at zero. |
Mr. G (Primal Earth) | |
Ms. Liberty Task Force | The Arachnos Flier awards six reward merits upon defeat (as a Giant Monster). This is not intended behavior. |
PPD Deputy Badge | This may only affect the Peregrine Island safeguard, but currently when the hostage holders are aggroed, some of them just vanish. This makes it nearly impossible to actually free the hostages. |
Percy Winkley | Not all contacts may be given, one may be omitted by Percy. (January 2012) |
Energy Mastery (Corruptor/Defender) | Slotting Endurance Modification into Force of Nature currently has no effect on the power. |
Protester Badge | Use of pets and henchmen actively penalizes players during The Protest Event. Pets and henchmen do not count as participation in the event, and even if you are engaged during the event by using your personal attacks while your pets and/or henchmen are out, it seems that your pets and henchmen are counted as other players. Therefore, Mastermind players and others with pets do not get reward options for the Protester badge, reward merit, nor the Molotov Cocktail temporary power.
Make sure that your pets and henchmen are put away before starting this event to receive full credit. |
River Rat Badge | Location #6 in Nova Praetoria is above the water surface. Use a short hop, or the Imperial City alternative. |
Rock | All copies of this power are used at once. |
Shop Keeper Badge | A character who already has the badge will gain the maximum 2 hours duration after just a few minutes of time logged out. |
Sister Airlia | Longbow NPCs Lt. Alston and Captain Jaegar will spawn at a minimum of level 40 or higher depending on level of mission owner. They may prove near impossible to defeat if the mission owner is at the bare minimum level of level 35 required to start the mission. Additional note 08 May 2012: According the the Patch Notes of 01 May 2012, this bug may now be resolved: "Fixed an issue where the Longbow Ballista did not scale down to level 35." |
Smuggler Badge | A character who already has the badge will gain the maximum 2 hours duration after just a few minutes of time logged out. |
Spawn Chamber | Spawn Chamber should spawn Devouring Earth creatures, but does not. |
Statesman Task Force | The Arachnos Flier awards 2 merits upon defeat (as a Giant Monster). This is not intended behavior. |
Supergroup Emblem | Currently a number of emblems are bugged so that they either display as a different one on base items, or do not display at all. |
The Great Escape | Characters can use the ghoulflex and tantrum emotes without unlocking them. The rewards to unlock them do nothing. |
The Protest | Use of pets and henchmen actively penalizes players during this event.
The Protest | The Destroyers are level 1, instead of level-less. |
The Protest | At ten Destroyers there will be a flash-up notice about PPD arriving but none actually show up for the event itself. |
The Protest | The Protest leaders are level 1, instead of level-less. |
The Radio | As soon as the team gets within range for The Council Spy to spawn, he will attempt to escape immediately, rather than wait for his health to drop to half or his minions defeated first. |
Thugs | The enhancement window says Call Enforcer accepts Holds and Stuns sets, but it doesn't. |
Tournament Victor Badge | Testing performed on earning this badge in September, 2011, revealed that the overall winner was not determined by who won each round, but by what position they held on the team list. In two completed test matches, the players who advanced to the second round were always in slots 2, 3, 4, and 5 on the team window, regardless of who actually won the round. The players who advanced to the third and final round were always in slots 2 and 3 on the team window, again, regardless of who actually won. The winner of that round would get the badge as expected. |
Vanguard Costume Set | Normally, when a character buys one of these Vanguard costume pieces from a Vanguard crafting table, the costume disappears from the table's list of costume recipes so that you can't waste Vanguard Merits and Inf by buying the same pieces several times over. However, if your account has received the Vanguard Pack and thus, all your characters already have all the Vanguard costume pieces, the costume recipes are not removed from the Vanguard table and it is possible to waste Vanguard Merits and Inf by 'buying' costume pieces to which your character already has access. |
Vanguard Pack | Normally, when a character buys one of these Vanguard costume pieces from a Vanguard workbench, the costume disappears from the workbench list of costume recipes so that you can't waste Vanguard Merits and Inf by buying the same pieces several times over. However, if your account has received the Vanguard Pack and thus, all your characters have all the Vanguard costume pieces, the costume recipes are not removed from the Vanguard workbench and it is possible to waste Vanguard Merits and Inf by 'buying' costume pieces your character already has access to. |
Veluta Lunata | Legacy Chain and Spectral Pirates, despite their ally dialogue, will attack each other before engaging the player in combat. |
Vivacious Verandi | After each planted weapons, some waves of attackers will spawn. Attackers should be (and talk like) Family thugs, but are Freakshow. The other Freakshow will attack them despite this.) |
Wes Schnabel | Wes Schnabel won't give missions to characters level 11 or higher. |
Winter Event/Chalet | Accepting a reward when sidekicked or exemplared will cause the reward to fail. |
Winter Event/Chalet | Accepting a reward on another player's mission without cooperatively completing a mission of your own will cause the reward to fail. |
Winter Event/Chalet | Accepting a temporary power as a reward if previously awarded (even in a previous year's event) will cause the reward to fail. The temporary powers can be reacquired with Candy Cane Salvage. |
Super Pack/Lords of Winter | There is a bug where these packs reward the XP Booster power instead of the Experienced power. Users who would prefer to be rewarded the Experienced power are advised to wait until a patch has been deployed to fix this before opening any packs. The devs have noted that this patch will likely be deployed after the conclusion of the 2021 Winter Event in January, 2022. |
StoryArc The Unity Plague | Going Rogue - Mission can be forced to Fort Trident. Speaking with Ms. Liberty in Atlas Park will still complete this section. |
Anton Sampson - Deliver the report to the hero oversight committee | It's possible to spawn this mission with less than 50 Nemesis inside - meaning the mission cannot be completed without GM assistance. Solo players should set their difficulty (at a Field Analyst) to be the equivalent of two heroes (x2) in order to avoid this, if they are soloing. In this case, some players may also wish to lower their combat level to (-1). Noted 08 May 2012. |
Detective - Protect Founders' Falls bank | BUG?:During this mission, the group attacking the bank will be Arachnos troops, though the briefing describes them as Council. They even have Council names, so I'm suspecting the spawns are messed somehow. Besides, there are other minor bugs: the boss in my Arson mission was an Ascendant Archon with the name "Galaxy Archon", and NPCs in the streets will mention later the attacking group in Founders as "The Family". |
Mr. G - Unavoidable Fate | This mission was apparently cut-and-pasted from Dream Doctor's personal story. The mission title is the same as 'Dream Doctor's Personal Story' and this unnecessary solicitation is also wrong. |
The Power to Control - Part Two: In Due Time | Belladonna Vetrano doesn't technically teleport, she instead goes invisible and is flagged to ignore PCs. However, she does not ignore henchmen nor pets and will instead immediately attack pets and henchmen while completely invisible and untargetable, and even follow the pets and henchmen around. If you are a Mastermind player, be advised to stock up on purple inspirations before starting this mission, hand them to your henchmen just before encountering Belladonna, and run far back immediately after she teleports to hopefully de-aggro her. |
Tip - Dr. Aeon's Science Convention | The Family are inexplicably fighting a Wailer here. Nothing in the mission references the Wailers, and the above dialogue suggests they're intended to be addressing a member of the Tsoo, so this is presumably a mistake. |
The Clockwork Paladin | The Paladin will often become stuck in an alleyway approximately 100 yards southwest of the High Park marker. (641.692261, -41.90625, -2299.5)
or 160 yards southeast of the High Park marker. (210.647064, -42, -2126.147461) |
The Clockwork Paladin | The event window does not correctly track the Paladin's Health, staying at 100 throughout the event. It also does not acknowledge the Paladin's defeat. |
The Clockwork Paladin | The event does not properly reset after the Paladin is defeated and will only restart with a mapserver refresh of the zone (by GM or weekly maintenance). Any surviving Shining Stars will remain outside the bank for some time. |
Storm Blast | Direct Strike does not accept Reduce Interrupt Time enhancements. |
